Seedling Progress. How do they look?

Germinated with paper towel & ziploc bag. Do they look healthy? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

1pt pots using FFOF
Have been watering with a spray bottle for now to avoid drowning them

the first "WC" pic I accidentally got water on the leaves that's why there is a dark spot. Tried to get the best quality photos I could but my phone sucks ass.
As always thanks for any help!

Ill keep that in mind. I've heard good things about FFHF and saw some people did recommend it over FFOF, I wish I read more on the soil before I bought it but there's always next grow. For nutes I just picked up the Fox Farm trio pack. What do you use for nutes? Im still doing my research on that.

heres a tip for you, get A large bucket or container large enough that you can put your plant pot intio it, then put a your plant pots into it. put some water in to it, enough to give the plants a good soak, about half way up the pot is the max i would go. watch the pots dont tip over or the soil raises out the pots. and leave them there for about an hour or so, then take them out and allow them to drain out in a shallow dish/tray.
this way you get the soil in the pots totaly wet and watering after that will be simple.
the wet pots should last you through a week to begin with, but you wont have to keep spraying them and wotrrying about giving them to much or to little water. nicely sprouted though

I use the Technaflora Recipe for success. I have used the FF Dirty Dozen...wasn't so crazy about it. I believe FF is really into making cash on nutes. IMHO all the suggested amounts are way over exaggerated especially when a grower is only doing a couple of plants. If you are going to use the trio...first wait at least a month after transplant to start feeding. The FFOF is more than enough to feed that long. When you start to feed...I would go 1/4 strength on a water, water, feed schedule for a couple of weeks then up to water, feed, water. A couple of weeks later 1/2 strength. After flipping use the same system but with the flowering nutes.

Oh and if you want to actually use the FFHF you can either buy just that OR keep the FFOF and add FFLW and perlite to it for the finishing pot. Not exactly the same...FFOF has a lot of different nutes than the FFHF does but still just as nourishing.

I do plan on adding perlite to my pot, I forgot to pick some up when I bought soil and nutes.

Yes some people don't make it past this stage myself included, still digging through the dirt after 24hrs to see what's happening, well done
I keep telling myself patience is key. I started poking around on the 3rd day, that's when it started to break soil. I was too excited lol. Once they popped though 2 of them had some trouble shedding their skin but I was able to remove it easily with some tweezers. Now I'm just waiting for the plants to grow and tell me what to do

So start watering normally around stem?
Wait til the soil is dry, the container feels light, then water, then wait til its dry, the roots need air as much as water, thats why we add perlite. Perlite creates air pockets so look for the chunky stuff.

Little update: I placed more soil in all 3 pots because I was worried about stretching.(pics are before I did that) They were looking a lil tall. Lowered the light a tiny bit. It was around 22in if I remember correctly. Using a Mars Hydro TS 600W actual 100w bongsmilie:peace:
66.9 is the lowest my tent has been, its lowest is usually 70 and around 77-82max when lights on. It is chilly day though.
my 1 roma just chillin in the last picture

The roots are down deep, water the whole pot then wait a couple days or more til its dry. Real important the soil dries especially the top layer. Your grow, my advice. Here’s a root at 10 days, 7 from germination

I followed go go kid's advice and soaked them last night, the top layer is wet from it soaking. From now on I will water normally

Yeah, i topwater after the lights go on and you can see how the water goes down the roots but the top stays dry to fight bugs. The clear cup sits in a regular solo to keep the roots dark but really shows what goes on below the surface. Nonporous containers dry slowly, theres even condensation on the plastic inside.

Looking good and solid. Ocean Forest shouldn’t need any nutes for a couple weeks, at least until some five finger sets of leaves and then go easy, 1/4 whatever the recommended mix is.
