Seedling problems

Thought I had things together to grow out some new seeds but I guess not. These seedlings were doing pretty good in rockwool in a humidome with the vents almost closed to give high humidity. Once the taproot was coming out the bottom of the rockwool I put them in cups of soil with holes in bottom for drainage and back into humidome with vents more open. The first true leaves started to form and were coming out. Next day the true leaves looked a little mushy. Next day I look and a couple are turning black and look to be dying, stems are still up, and the round leaves are still there. Checked the thermometer and it was high reading 90 degF and very humid with drops forming and staying on inside of dome even with vents half open, but lots of humidity coming from seven cups of soil I guess. What happened to these leaves?
Will the plant survive and grow new true leaves??
I have the dome dried off and the lid vents fully open , with the lid sitting so the corners let air in too giving lower humidity now. Anything else I can do???

Thanks in advance for any help.:eyesmoke:

sounds like to much water. I don't use a dome for seedlings. but I also don't use rockwool. let them dry out some and see what they do. I got some sort of rot in my last batch of seedlings but thry turned almost clear. I tried hard to save them and only ended up with one and it is stunted.

Mine would never even get to seedling without the dome. My room is not humid enough. So you think they got to much water from spraying or humidity in the dome right, not the soil.

When I do mine. I have the soil kinda moist put the seed in and might spray once or twice with a mist. Other then that
I don't water till 2-3 days after the sprout has popped. and then use the spray bottle to soak the soil again. the roots seem to grow fast for me. I replant after two weeks or so.

Yeah that is what i usually do and it works out. I think I turned the leaves to mush by not watching my temp. and humidity close enough-I think the 90 degF and 100% humidity did alot of harm over short time. Anybody able to tell me if they will survive and grow new true leaves as the germination leaves or whatever are going to die off soon?????:peace::confused:

I plant my seeds in a humidity about 30 a 40 percent.. And temprature about 25 degrees ( CELCIUS ) ground temprature about 20+ degrees!!!
Believe me u DON'T need much humidity on seedlings.. mostly it sounds like over watering in combination with high humidity, your (small) plants get to much water while they cant vaporise it either.. roots are at that point verry vulnarable to infections.. Best u can do as I see it is just trow the plants away and start all over again (really sorry to say this) that part of growth is verry imbortant for further growth and there after blooming.. seedlings or small plants ho have grow problrms in the firsth few weeks will mostly get more behind on healthy plants later more in the progress... this is verry F**** if ure working under lamps... aniway seek your choises and inform yourself better next time! listen to stumps!! One of the most frequent problems in this culture is over watering..

U can also buy something valled a Tensio meter (dutch) that would be Tensio messurer in english i gues.. it meassures the correct hummidity of the soil using the sucking power of the ground becouse the percentage of water affects the sucking power of plant roots (really true cant explain this any other way its also harsh to explain something this difficult in an outher languich than your own...) you should visit no mercy suply.com they probly have english pages as well...

Thanks I think that they are done too but I don't need their space right now so I will see if any turn around. Mostly have had good success with seeds must have just messed up this time..too bad was a good strain that i paid for.
