Seedling in rockwool

Hey guys

It's been a while since I've been around here.
I've got a new grow happening in dwc.
Germinated my seeds in paper towel then into the rockwool 6 days ago. 1 seed was showing a root out the bottom of the cube within 2 days so transfered her to my dwc system.
The other seed seems to be having a hard time getting her roots down from the cube. Its almost been a week and still not showing a root through the cube.

Typically how long does this take? (I can never remember it taking this long in the past)

Is it a bad idea to put the rockwool into the dwc before the root is out?

Thinking of giving it until tomorrow to see if she's out yet. If not was going to put her into the system regardless.

Cheers

7-10 days for me using rock wool and a humidity dome.
Temps 81-83
RH 79-82%
I prep my cubes with Olivias cloning solution and I use Olivias as a food source.
(I make a solution of 150PPM)

I keep my cubes as dry as possible, I dip the bottoms for 1 second every 3-4 days.

I never spray my plants or use heat mats, I keep a water bottle that I cut in half to maintain my RH under my humidity dome.

My temp is controlled by ambient heat from the light.
My 95 watt CFL panel about 12" above hood gets me a perfect environment.

Bless,
DZ

Thanks guys.

I'm getting a little impatient with this one as you could probably tell.

Looks like tonight shes going into the bucket. Top watering until roots come out of net pot.

Cheers

Everyone gets impatient with the first times , don't sweat it but just try to relax
Yeah it's very true. This isn't my first rodeo. I've got a few successful dwc grows under my belt.
Last grow was 2 blackberry seeds which one i harvested 9 ounces of one plant. A record for me.

An old saying i heard around here once was " roots before shoots"
Which is what alot of new growers need to follow. i.e being impatient the first couple of weeks. Once you get past the seedling stage it really takes off in dwc.
Good times ahead
