I read that 3 times....and I'm still confused at what you're asking.......
Nothing should "die off"........especially if you're only 3 nodes high.....

if ure on about the firs leaves the little round ones sometimes they do sometimes they dont ive seen 2" thick stems with the remnants of the first leaves still on there also seen em lost at a ft tall it dont matter once they have there true leaves they dont need them
well alot of people had the very first 2 first leafs die off before they are 3 nodes high but mine hasn't , a person that I know has a skunk strain and the starter leafs died off at the 2nd node but mine are staying the healthy leaf colour, is it because if the strain or the way I'm growing it?
oh ok , I've read and seen alot of the little round leafs dieing off at the 2nd set of leafs and I thought that there might have been some thing wrong, that helps alot thanks
