Seed to harvest under 12-12

I’ve done it, lots of people have. There are threads about it you can search for.

It works ok, the plants don’t instantly start to flower they need to mature first. Which means they will veg for 4-8 weeks before starting to transition and actually forming flowers.

This tech doesn’t typically maximize yields because while the plant is vegging it is only getting 12 hours of light to live off of. Where as normally a plant would be getting 18+ hours of light in veg providing more opportunity to maximize potential.

I figured people do it to save on energy cost

I've done it. To get the best results you need to pick the right strain. You don't want a long flowering branchy sativa. An indica or indica dominate hybrid that can grow into one big cola is preferable. You can get large yields with a bunch of plants 12/12 in 1 gallon containers.

This was a 12/12 from seed Wicked Widow.

I don't remember exactly but I think it dried to around 1.3 oz's maybe more. That was grown in a half gallon pot. You can easily fit 32 in a 4 x 4 tent. Do the math and that's a decent yield for the space if you filled it and everything went well. The only issue is having that many seeds but if you make your own seeds it's not a problem. With the right strain you could get 4 harvests a year. That was grown under just a cheap 600 watt HPS.

I've never packed the tent to see what I could actually get because of plant count limitations.

A half Gal thats not bad for the pot size and amount of light if you had to do micros thats what id probably do
