did i read right when you said your plant has been 12/12 since it was a seed? this is where all your problems are prob coming from. i wouldnt be suprised to see a hermie. you might as well just start over when you get your new light and maybe keep that under the cfl

yes this was started 12/12 from seed. the plant is looking great so i dont know what your talking about. it had a little discoloration but it's cleared up mostly. this grow will be finished one way or another.

people dont make up light cycles for the hell of it. the switch from 18 to 12 hours of light is used to make the plant think that it just started the fall season and this triggers the plant to go into its reproductive process and showing sex. youre not letting the plant hit its maturity and if you even get a harvest it will prob be some of the weakest buds ever. not to mention how much theyre stressed and that drastically increases hermie rate and or seeds. its also looks like growth has been stunted and doesnt look like your plants has grown more than an inch within the last 2 weeks.

next time you may want to go with a normal light cycle.

lol, my plant has grown 2 inches in the last 3 days. The plant is no 10 1/2 inches tall. There is new leaves growing every day. Don't try to knock something you don't know about... There are plenty of people that have done 12/12 from seed and ended with good results. Do your research. Also the Search button works wonders. :hump: :joint:

With you on this one...why...lets see.. does growing outdoors go 24/7 or 18/6?...No...we only use these cycles to grow fast and trick the plant...so we can finish in a short period...I have 3 currently running on this concept...veg time from 1-3 weeks and all have turned out female and much bushier that previous...I altered slightly from 12/12 from beginning doing 18/6from the 1-3 weeks period then 12/12...the plant that went 12/12 after 1 week is now 44 days old and in full flower all the way down the main stem...the one that went in 12/12 after 2 weeks showed sex in 10 days and also is filling in down complete stem...I have also noticed the stretch factor does not seem to be as drastic as previous 18/6 veg for 4-5 weeks method.I wish I had a camera because this does indeed seem to be producing some impresive results and would love to share.

How much am I watering daily? I am not watering daily, would be overwatering them. I only water when the soil seems dry 2-3 inches down.

this looks really neat, this is probably how i will do my first grow, whenever that happens. just because a 12 inch plant is easier to manage, and keep hidden than a 2 foot plant. haha

you want me to do a search on what? light cycles? go ahead and do one and see what results you get. also im not the one on here asking basic questions like HAY GUYS WHAT SEX IS MY PLANTS?!?

anyways... you are growing a weed. as long as you periodically feed it and put a light over it its going to grow. what you have to understand is that plants grow in different kinds of cycles. the 18/6 cycle is used to simulate long spring/summer days. plants growing in this cycle are focusing on root growth which inturn leads to more vigorous growth for the plant. when you switch to 12/12 this simulates the shorter days of autumn making the plant use its energy on reproduction(which is why you have female preflowers at day 15). youre making the plant waste energy on things it shouldnt have to. it stresses the plant and youre not giving it time to fully mature.

youre right in the fact that you will get a harvest. however it will be a smaller harvest than if you would have did a 18/6 veg cycle. it will be less potent. and i can 100% guarentee you it will have seeds. all these things could have been avoided had you have used the search button and read up on the life cycle of the cannabis plant. and there are a lot better ways to get a smaller plants rather than stressing the plant to stunt its growth.

it seems to me youre confusing putting seeds straight into a 12/12 light cycles with putting clones straight into a 12/12 light cycle. ultimatly its not even a big deal. every marijuana grower has made mistakes. the important thing is that you learn from them and use that knowledge to grow better next time.
