Seed separation at a medium scale?

I was kicking around the idea of doing a medium-scale seed run.

The plan would be to reverse a clone and pollinate a room (4 lights, 4 trays, 4 strains), collect the seeds and process the bud into hash.

How would I go about separating the seed from the bud? I would assume it would be done after drying, are there machines on the market for this? Tips and tricks for manual separation?

Any help is appreciated.

It's really not hard. Dry the buds first, get it really, really dry. Put it in a tumbler and let it run. The buds will all bust up freeing the seeds and all your kief. If you let it run too long your kief gets green, for me I don't care I am going to run it through a rosin press anyway.

To separate the seeds from the leftover material, put a handful in a large tray and tilt it, using a card or whatnot you can scrape the material up hill and the seeds roll downhill to the other end of the tray. You get the hang of it pretty quick.

Since all of my seed bud is used for cooking, we just dry it really well, then over a large bowl or five gallon bucket, we just roll the dried bud on a screen with seed-sized holes.

We then dump the seeds (along with pieces of small dried foliage) onto a piece of large bristol board, angle the board toward the bowl, and all the seeds merrily roll off the board and into the bucket.

Dump back onto the board, and any remaining fluff is simply blown away.

We then separate out the known viable seeds from the apparently non-viable by hand. Once we got this technique down, it takes no time at all.

Why dust the whole room? unless you want thousands of seeds worth close to nothing.Just do some hand dusting with the best phenos. then you no what ya got.
