Seed question

Hey guys I have a spare bean (tangerine Dream) and I don't want into germ/grow so how do I prevent this ? And how long can I keep the seed?

Keep them in a dry, dark, cool spot. I have kept seeds in a draw for months.
Now I keep them in the freezer.

Well I'm currently got a grow going with another 9 ish weeks left so I won't be using them anytime soon so can I simply freeze it and unfreeze it when I want to grow it? It's currently in an airtight bag and that's in a dark sealed jar kind of thing

I keep my seeds in empty film containers in the refrigerator..Lots of seed banks keep theirs in refrig. As for how long I would imagine for months even years.
