Seed in my bud???

Last night I harvested an 8 week COB plant, trichs 90/10 cloudy/amber. It is a beautiful plant and smells like over ripe oranges. I manicure my buds by hand pretty thouroughly, so I am intimate with the inner bracts.
Last night I found a small, tan, very immature seed in a pod, and I am thinking WTF!!! To my knowledge, and I check my plants many times a day, I have never had any bananas, never had any male flowers, never had any pollen released in the grow area, and yet...I found one single unfromed seed in my bud. Not on the main cola, but a middle branches popcorn bud. Has anyone else seen this, or did I miss something?? How did a single seed invade my plant??? Where did the pollen come from that I never had ANY indication of it.
Any insight would be way cool.

Sometimes, amidst the mass of a female flower on a female plant, a single male flower will appear and create a single seed. It doesn't necessarily mean all your buds are seeded. You're possibly a very lucky person as it would most definitely be what they call in the seed-bank catalogs a 'feminized' seed and if you were to grow it the resulting plant has a high chance of being a female. I've heard this one freak seed appearing occurs, on average, roughly once in every six lbs of unfertilized boo.
Also, if you're not a commercial grower, there is the belief amongst some heads that seeded buds, (once you've gone through the rigmarole of shaking out all the seeds), is actually a more kickass smoke than some sensimilla, since it's gone the whole way through to absolute maturity. Biologically, the same is said of a woman's breasts, that they aren't fully sexually mature as bodily organs until she has had a child and begun lactating.

LMAO!! This is true......I married my wife at 18 and she had a baby at 22 and BAM those titties rock now!
Anyway...I assumed it was as said that a single pod got micro pollenated. Weird. Alas, the seed was VERY immature......but my truchs were where I wanted them. Wish that branch had matured that seed. I am a HUGE fan of orange bud, and would love a femi seed to get me clojnes off of without the hassles.
Anyway, thanks all for the quick replies. I will post again in 6 weeks when the cure is done and tell you all how the smoke was!
Peace

Male pollen is very tiny and extremely resilient. It can be transferred easily through your clothes, shoes, hair and hands. Chances are it was limited contamination due to indirect transfer.

I had a Northern Lights plant herm at 40 days.....I pulled it as soon as I saw a banana......must have gotten a miniscule cross pollenization.
Oh well. 1 immature seed from a plant that should yield around 30g is fine by me.
Thanks again all!

That was very fortunate for you just finding the one banana, although I'd really prefer seeded buds myself.
That might sound strange, but I've always had a theory that if you were to pollinate a female plant just at the very moment she was considered 'ripe', that the plant's overall volume of thc resin would be increased.
I believe that this must cause an increase, because the plant produces resin not only to attach pollen, but also to protect the seed, and the act of this 'seed to protect' being created will inevitably make the herb more potent.
If there is no seed present then the buds apparently continue to grow larger, (but only up to a certain point, that is), before the season has ended when they longer grow and begin to die off.
According to reports, the fertilization of the plant will supposedly cause the flowering bud to cease its advance toward volume, and instead begin concentrating its energy on the forming of seed.
If the case is that the resin increase is triggered by the receiving of the pollen, and this were done and the seeds were allowed to develop to a very immature point, where the were still very tiny, and only left to grow to the point where there is virtually only a slight increase in size with the initial swelling caused by the development in the seed polyps of the 'baby seeds' then you could potentially achieve the most potent form of sensimila that could be grown without actually having buds completely riddled with seed. The key action to this theory working affectively would be to harvest the plant at exactly the moment when this occurs after it has been fertilized and not let the seeds ripen.
You'd need to have a greater amount of knowledge of marijuana botany than I do to pull that one off completely perfectly though.
Some of my plants have become seeded, so it makes me feel better to think that once I pop out all the seeds I will be left with, better than average herb!
*(if there were any general consensus on when that might be!)

I heard good weed must give you 2-3 seeds, its showing you good shit what i heard on website Grower.cz: Marihuana ~ Pìstování Marihuany ~ Growshop Konopí there is lot professional growers but i dont know.Ithink is true.:hump:
