Just got those greenpoint seeds in (The Deputy—Bruce Banner#3. Probably my favorite strain of all time. About to put them in my 36x36x72” under my new timber 4VS fixture. I’ve only been growing for about 4 yrs now... started first grow w cfls... killed a few seedlings first two weeks lol. Quickly bought a Kind L450 and have been growing w that ever since. I’m really excited to see what these lights can do. Thanks for all your help w the seeds... I bought blue dream Acapulco gold and pineapple skunk
I considered the deputy

Did yours have any strwberry scents?

Best not to stress the plant by tweaking the light cycle

I also recommend taking a cutting and sexing it
If you just can't wait 4 weeks lol

Plants won't show sex until maturity though. You can go 12/12 from seed. I've done it with freebies but it still usually takes 4 or 5 weeks from seed to show sex ime
How do you guys suggest I go about doing this, Growing these trying to get females? I don’t have a ton of space and have never grown out of solo cups or transferred before. I’ve always just bought feminized seeds.

I’m not sure how to do that... I’ve always tried to keep it easy. Married w 4 boys (all under 9) and work full time to boot... so most my free time (which is very little) goes to my hobby (growing). I’m starting to get a bit serious, but everything is already pretty crammed time-wise. Lol

Few less kids but yup haha if you wait till it's large enough to clone and time to root the clones and then flip to flower and wait for them to show they'll already have been old enough to tell haha

But cant you just throw some cuts in cups of water and put them in the dark ?

I didnt think they needed to be rooted to show sex

Worth a shot just snip off a lower scraggley branch :)

Quick question. I’m in the states and usually get my seeds from the nirvana website. Seeds I’ve received from them lately are bunk. Many of them don’t make it. I’ve also got seeds from greenpoint, which are awesome, but they don’t have feminized beans so you have to plant multiple and hope the ones you plant are females—and I don’t have that time to wait and determine... do you have a website you get your seeds from that ship to the US and allow Cc purchases? Thanks in advance for your help!
Greenpoint website has fem seeds. Very few but they have them. Just get a small bottle of cs and make your own fem seeds. If you don't want to spray them just leave a few buds when you chop and let those buds go for a while. A lot of strains will throw nanners if left to over ripen.

I've noticed with some overseas orders that the seeds have lower germ rates. I wonder if customs uses some type of waves to treat suspect packages.

They may not. It may be old stock or anything. Start making your own crosses and you won't go back.

Colodial silver

Is used to reverse fems for making fem seeds
Hmm...so I’d just have to make sure I had 2 female plants to begin w, right? One to spray and one to pollinate? Then I could cross bread and make my own strains? I honestly haven’t heard of this... again I’ve only researched enough to grow good weed... I’m just now starting to learn different techniques and crafts. Pretty simple to do?

I used to use attitude but stopped after 2 consecutive orders were found and tossed, thankfully no legal repercussions came from that, i now use herbiesheadshop, they dont accept cards, only cash or UK checks, but ive had no issues mailing cash and getting my orders within a couple weeks each time, i wax seal my envelopes for added insurance :bigjoint:

As a newbie to the seed ordering realm, I chose the DC Seed Exchange. The breeder selection may not be up to the same level as most of the banks available, but I wasn't concerned....They offer what I wanted, and I'm not very caught up in the "flavor of the month" hype...
Paypal transaction through a third party, package came 3 days later.....

There was an extra level of satisfaction achieved as well, by having a seed order brought to my mailbox by the USPS, directly from our Nations Capitol....

Colloidal silver. Start one fem in flower a couple weeks before the others. That's the one that will be sprayed. Start spraying at first sign of flower daily until you see nanners.

Collect the pollen or shake over the other fems.

Look up colloidal silver generators. All you need is a cell phone charger, piece of silver wire, water and a jar. Its easy to make. Has to be pure silver. I got mine off amazon. A few bucks for a few feet of jewellers silver wire.

Or if you're feeling particularly toxic and mad sciency you can go with silver thiosulfate. It's effective too. Haven't heard anyone mention this but DO NOT smoke any plant that you've treated with cs or sts. They are very toxic to you. Spray in an isolated location away from other plants and avoid letting foliar sprays drip on to other plants. If I were doing it I'd spray a rooted clone and send it to flower alone to collect pollen. Then I'd just pollen chuck a few lower branches after I flip the room

I've used The Attitude twice for seeds. Got my package pretty quick with stealth shipping. I recommend you give them a try. The breeders I recommend for fem seeds (which I usually go for over regs) are:

Barney's Farm, Cali Connection, Humboldt Seed Organization, and anything apart of the DNA Genetics Family which includes DNA Genetics, Crockett Family Farms, Reserva Privada and GYO. I'm sure there are a bunch of other fantastic breeders on the site, but those are the only ones I have experience with. If anyone cares as to what strains I'd recommend from these guys, I'd be happy to reply.

Neptune Seedbank is another high class seed site. The owner boasts how they only buy from the most elite breeders. Ironically today, February 15th, the site is down for maintenance. But I have heard from a fellow grower I know (who grows testers for Mass Medical Strains) that they are legit AF.
What cali connection strains have you done? I've been reading up on them lately and all I can find is bad reviews and how prone to hermie they are. I'm running an la cookies right now, it's going to be a mother plant and after reading around last night i'm really worried i am gonna have problems. How bad are cali connection can anyone confirm? :wall:

I have grown the Buddha Tahoe OG and LA Affie. Both were totally fine, no hermies or abnormalities in the growth. As a disclaimer tho, I haven't purchased seeds online since earlyish 2016. I've been clone trading for a while, now that I've made some connections. Unsure as to where Cali Connection stands currently as far as reputation.

Another thing to keep in mind is that people are more likely to post a review when it's negative (as they want to get that anger off their chest) as opposed to when everything grows as advertised.
