seed germinating

am trying to germinate 5 lr#2 3 were put in soil yesterday and placed under 24 hr light----2 were put between wet papertowels in a ziploc bag today.hope to get all 5 to germinate.does these methods seem right.any other ways to ensure they germinate thanks in advance still have 5 more beans for backup--but hoping i will not need right now

I usually soak them in ater for 24 hours, then go from there

I have always put my seeds in between two very warm paper towels, put them in a very small rubbermade container and place something to cover over the top. Leave in a warm dark closet. 100% success rate.

yup same here, i put the beans inbetween warm wet paper towls on a saucer, cover the saucer with seran wrap and keepem ina warm dark place....%100 success everytime

i tried that with 2 beens--my question is this---i put beans in soil do they need to be in dark or light till they come up?

i just done 10, kept them in dark humid place thru the nite for heat then in the daytime i put them up on the windowsill wen i seen them starting to sprout

i cant believe it---3 in soil--1 is up a second is on the way-----2 between papertowels sprouted in less than 12 hours--put in soil this morning ----day 3 from recieving beans-
