Seed and Plant Questions :- )

Hi guys, new medical grower here.

Just scraping together the last bit of cash to put something together and I thought I would educate myself a bit before I jump in.

I have a few questions regarding strains.

1.) From what I've read the strain "White Rhino" is "Medicine Man" it was just renamed to Medicine Man because of It's excellent medicinal properties. Some online seed banks may still use the "White Rhino" aka while others use "Medicine Man"

So if that's correct I could just buy White Rhino seeds from Nirvana and it would be the same thing?

I've read descriptions on this marijuana and it sounds intense.

If anyone has any experience with this strain I'd love to hear what you have to say and where the best place to buy the seeds would be.

2.) I cannot grow many plants and I do not have much room to work with. (I will probably use a grow box.)
Below I have a list of criteria and am hoping for some recommendations that fit with what I've outlined below.

I need a strain that hopefully does well in these areas:

-High Potency
-High Yield (Due to low number of plants allowed)
-Short to Medium Flower period
-SOG compatible

So far I am interested in Medicine Man/White Widow/Afgani Kush. I also love Bubba Kush but I have heard the yield is not the best.

Help much appreciated! :- )

I am probably not your best candidate for a response due to my inexperience with cultivating medical marijuana, but I thought I would give you my 2c since I am a heavy pot smoker :)
In my opinion white widow would be a good choice if you are a first time grower. It is an indica/sativa strain and believe it is a medium flowering strain (10 weeks? not entirely sure on that). According to some sources one square meter of plants would yield up to 500grams. It is a short stubby plant which grows to around 4 feet with dense buds. A friend of mine has grown it before and the high was intense. I am a heavy smoker and having said that 2 joints of this stuff makes me pass out so it is pretty incredible lol. Great sedative. I would recommend it, hopefully some medicinal marijuana growers can assist you. I also think it is compatible with sea of green, hopefully you can provide some pictures of your setup once you get going :D

I like White Widow but I don't love White Widow.
It's not an easy strain for first time growers from what I'm aware. (Though I could be wrong.)
It's a 60/40 Sativa dominant.
Yes you can grow indoors SOG
It yields 450 g per m2
But it does take 56-70 days indoors to flower which is longer than what I am looking for.
So longer flowering time and a yield that does not justify the longer wait time.
From when I smoked it and from what I have read about WW - It's not a sedative. Sedative plants tend to be Indica dominant in my experience and I've smoked a lot of different Sativas.

Just wanted to say I grow Nirvana's seeds and while I haven't tried the White Rhino strain yet. All of my experiences with Nirvana have been positive. My last grow was some tasty AK-48. This grow is White Widow and Blackberry. Both from Nirvana.
So far germination has been at 100%.

Here are some pictures of the vegging mothers, White Widow and Blackberry. I also have some Orange Bud clones rooting right now but the Orange Bud isn't from Nirvana.

Getting the most out of your plants is dependent on several different factors. One of the most important is strain stability. You can only take a plant as far as its genetics allow. Now with that not withstanding, other factors will influence the outcome. Several environmental factors come to mind.
1. Light intensity
2. growing medium
3. available space allowed for growing
4. availability of nutrients
5. temperature
6. air quality
7. humidity
8. Co2 content

All of these will factor in on your end result. If you can meet those above mentioned factors and give the plant what it wants when it wants it then you can grow and get the optimum results that the genetics allow.

Now, I am by far not a Master Grower, but I do my research and I am on here often listening to what other people are doing and how I can improve on my own growing.
Here are some pics of clones rooting, (my first attempt at cloning and I got roots only after 3 days of the cuttings being in the aeroponic cloner bucket). I am also including a pic of my AK Plant and a nug off her. These are the genetics that you will be using if you go with Nirvana. They are very good genetics and from my experiences are all stable. That's why I chose Nirvana strains to be mother plants. SO far it seems like a wise choice. Anyways here are the pics. Let me know what you think. If you have any more questions let me know. Ill be happy to answer them.

Peace and positive energy to you
