Sediment buildup.

Right now at night when it is hot i am able to keep the room around 88. Shutting down is not a good answer. So far nothing has died. I think i am losing potency though. There has to be something. I have good fans. But that only circulates air. I need a cooling option.
 
I'd be more worried about your yeild. Anyway to exhaust the room itself? Maybe look into upgrading to a mini-split A/C. 88 isn't too bad if you have good air circulation at canopy level.
 
A room A/C, without the duct work. These are possible to install yourself depending on your skill level. There is only two parts: the compressor and the fan unit. The compressor goes outside and you run the refrigerant lines to the inside fan unit. You have to run power to the compressor then to the inside unit, so you have to mess with the fuse box and what not. You'll have to run a drain line from the inside unit to the outside, but you can always just keep the drain line in the room and have empty into a tub and make use of it. Good thing is if security is an issue a lot of this work can be done by yourself except messing with the fusebox, I'd get an electrician for that part. Most mini-splits come with the refrigerant lines precharged, so you don't neccessarily have to have an a/c guy either.

Google it there's a mess load of company's that are selling kits online.
 
I did. But the answer turned out to be easy. I used a root flush for two days. Then went back to normal nuets. What a difference. Things were not getting to dry so that was not the problem. I think i had a salt build up that would not allow proper feeding. That shit was worth it's weight in gold. I have got a good handle on the heat problem of late. This next harvest is looking to be the best one yet! God i am tired of worrying. It is like raising a fucking child. LOL

What do you know about the, Eco-AeroFlo2 60 Aeroponic's system? Any feedback or bits of wisdom? This is the system i was talking about. I have a friend who can get shit at dealers cost. Check it out and tell me what you think. I am interested in this because of height restrictions. I like that it does not sit far off the ground and has a res to match. Parts are easily available. It can be configured to allow plants on either side. 2nd picture shows it. The flip side is i worry about root rot and roots intertwining and clogging things up.

I don't really know anything about the store bought set-ups, but aero/nft hydro is the shit. You can see amazing growth rates if you get it dialed in and stay on top of keeping that way. You can pretty much expect to buy a chiller, keeping the water temps low is very important in aeroponics and NFT. If the water temps get hot, it all goes bad very quick. That is one of the negatives to aero/nft set-ups, you have zero room for error. Don't worry about the roots getting intertwined, and anything that could get clogged will probably have a screen or something. The roots go crazy in these things. Big roots = big buds.

Salt build-up huh? Do you use tap water or RO? Good to hear you got it cleared up.
 
I use tap water. It comes out at 7.5 ph. I think the problem stems from not flushing properly in the first place between crops. And i reuse the stones. So i think they need to be cleaned better.

Chiller huh? Dang i did not think about that. Well i am leery. Though i feel confident having had 5 harvests in the past few months, i do not know if i am quite ready for that next step. I need more information. I love big roots = big buds. LOL I have heard great things about Aeroponics. What id NFT?

And since my room is still around 80 at worst, i keep gallon jugs of frozen water in the res twice a day. I have read that 68- 80 degrees max is acceptable. Though bacteria seems to be best checked around 68-70. Why would it be more crusial in Aero? I know these must sound like stupid questions. As always, thanx for the great input. If you can think of anything else please let me know.
 
Yeah the only time I had salt-build-up was from using tap water, started using RO, never had that issue again. Do you ever see salt/hard water build-up on the sides of your pots or trays? Get a RO filter you won't see that again.

NFT = nutrient film technique

In aero/nft set-ups the roots are exposed, there is very little to no media to help buffer things. So fungus and bacteria from high water temps run rapid with nothing there to slow it down or fight it.
 
Yes i have had that buildup. I will look into getting an ro. I never realized it.

And that makes a lot of sense about bacteria. I am very seriously contemplating that system. It comes with 60. You can buy another 60 to expand. I think i would want my Great Whites on tracks though. I think by fall i will have it all setup. I must be nuts! LOL
 
If you go for it, don't put all your eggs in one basket. But it sounds like you got it right with it being expandable. Do a forum search on that set-up, I'm sure somebody else here already has one and has some good info on it.

No, the baskets will still be there. I will just be adding to them. I have been looking at a few forum articles about this system. The one was very informative. Have you ever heard of a product called Bush Master? They were using it in tandem with the advanced nuets that i am doing. Ie, Kool Bloom and Flora Blend and Flora licious. These have served me well. I want to know about this stuff. What do you think?
 
I've read a few things about it, same product as phosphaload and a few others. It works from what I hear, there's a few threads about using it.
 
Well i snipped 17 out of 33. These things average 25". My God this is extremely dense shit. I am in awe. It is a hearty White Widow variety. Very pungent and sticky. What a producer. =)
 
I am having a problem with my plant. I got 3 clones from my local shop. I built this hydro system and put them in (the plants are 1 and a half week old) Yesturday I gave them a slow run of Co2 to jack them up. This morning I wake up and admire my soon to be great plaants and 1 of them took a turn for the worse. Let me break down what I got goin' run a 250 w MH light on 18hr cycles I run the water 4 times 9pm, 1 am , 5am for 12 min. then 830am for 7 min cause the light goes off at 10in the morn. I use a decent solution and I have the ph at 6. I was hopin somebody can help. Oh FYI the plant that is dying is called Heavy Duty Fruity. I hope my pictures will help. Please help!!!!

You shouldn't thread-jack, this should have been posted as a new thread. That way you have more people viewing it, that could've offered advice.

With that being said, I think you're watering them too much for such young plants. Try just watering once a day and see if there's any changes after a few days. You didn't mention if you're watering with any nutes?
 
I agree with Surphin. If they were just rooted you need to water them once daily until they build up a good strong root base. Water only when the light are on. The cubes need to dry, which promotes faster root growth. Once that is done you can up the cycles. Again you should have posted this elsewhere so as to get more input.
