i have MANY more than 1 year of growing exp. It has also been a few years since i have done any cultivation and all my experience was in one room that a friend dialed in for me. No plans for CO2. I will be buying a carbon scrubber and just putting it directly on my exhaust fan and just suck the room out through the filter into my spare bedroom. And just have passive AC'd air coming in. Decided for stealth reasons i will likely just run the AC in that room on a thermostat and not bother bringing in or exhausting outside.
Hey purplehays1, I came across this post and I'm in the same boat you were in when you asked this question. How did it turn out running the 400w HPS (ballast in hood) not sealed and ported? I have the same tent and I have a 400w HPS, and I really want to run this set up because it's what I have right now, but am worried about temperature. If this set up worked well for you can you just give me a rundown of how you did it so I can run a similar system? Cheers, thanks!

I ended up air cooling it. My hood has a removable port on the side that i ducted a fan to to exhaust the tent past the bulb and out the top. Without aircooling the bulb a 400w in these tiny tents is difficult. Link me your hood, some of the ones that u dont think are able to be air cooled are with some minor modification.

Your results will be amazing if u can manage to cool her, i pulled 9 oz off my last run.

Here is the reflector I have http://www.ehydroponics.com/?action=product&id=3285&cid=12 I do realize this is going to be a challenge to cool in such a small tent, but it is what I have at the moment. I've been window shopping for a cool tube reflector that will fit the tent if it turns out the reflector I have is too much. Would the tent stay cool enough by just sucking out of the tent air through a carbon filter with an inline fan at the top of the ten and using passive air flow to pull fresh air up from the bottom? Thanks for hitting me back so quick, I've had years of experience growing outside, but this is my first attempt at indoors aside from collecting strains under CFLs. Thanks for your constructive criticism, much love.
