Secret Jardin death of a good tent

Below is a message I sent to secret jardin, it's quite self explanatory is anyone else having problems with them?

I was a proud owner of a DR90 secret jardin tent. Which is an awesome piece of equipment for the size. I decided to upgrade to a DR150 tent. Having been so pleased with my first purchase.
As a lot of my colleagues on different forums have nothing but the highest regards for your products until last Saturday 17th August.
I became the disheartened and disappointed owner of a DR150. Upon trying to assemble my new purchase it became very apparent that whomever had made this in china is thinking 'lets play a practical joke on the people from the UK',
None of the right equipment was present as it was more like a broken jigsaw puzzle then a tent. I then got in touch with the company who stock your equipment, hydrohobby Coventry UK, and had to take the half day off work to return the DR150 tent.
Which cost me £70 in wages, plus £10 petrol.
We then went through the rigmarole of making sure that I was not mistaken in saying the tent was faulty as the staff came to the same conclusion as me. We then opened up 3 more tents to make up one good tent! I also retained the original cover.
Feeling delighted and happy with the customer service I received I thought let bygones be bygones. I then rushed home to assemble my new tent. To my amazement it was obvious that the same practical joker had decided to give me a tent that looked like a colander. Light was leaking through everywhere, so I'd just like to know do you send equipment to a country full of incompetent fools who wreck your product and good name? I draw this conclusion because I sent the outer cover back to hydrohobby who kindly sent me another faulty cover for my dr150 tent.
Which is as useless as the first one. I now have to take another half day off work and return the whole product and get my money back taking into account that it's cost me £160 to return your faulty item.
Which has not best pleased me as you can imagine.
What do you propose to do about it? Will you reimburse me the money or recommend one of your competitors tents?
Hopefully they don't use the same people you use to manufacture your colanders and sieves.

Kind regards,

Wow,
and SJ was my first pick for a tent.

I need to buy one, who makes the best tents?

I would Return the thing and cross them off my list of reputable suppliers!
Then I wouls Send it to the Pres of the Co, that will make a statement, hopefully....

thanx and Good Luck!

Bless

Sorry to hear about your experience. Happy you've shared it with us on here. I'm considering getting a new tent, and my mate is gonna start growing and will be buying one too. I have one of the Secret Jardin 120x120x200 tents now. Whilst I like it, the zip has started to go in one place (though doing it up the other way fixes this), and what you say makes me very dubious about trying them again. Maybe it was a faulty batch, but that experience of opening a load in the shop that were all fucked sounds terrible. Lolz at the tone of message towards the end - interested to see what response you get. Maybe someone from Secret Jardin might see this thread and defend themselves.

Anyone else has problems like this with newer SJ tents?

Any other tent makes worth looking at? What about the 'Bud Box's' that Growell sell?

wow sorry to hear about the jardin mang there loss to lose loyal customers imo. I am so cheap that I look for used tents online most times and lucked out with an older growlab 120 that has served me well. I have heard folks speak of gorilla tents (never used one) but when I went to the site there were eye opening pricey.

Never had problems with them before. According to the guys at hydrohobby the people who make them have changed. I wont use them again thats for sure. I heard of gorilla but its so expensive in the UK. Been looking at growlab, and the home box.

I dont rate most stuff that growell sell apart from the canna and brand named stuff. It always seems to break pretty easily, im leaning more towards growlab by homebox company. Looks really nice. I think im gonna invest in one of them! Yeah in the shop they had to open a dr120 to get parts I needed. The whole of the frame on this DR150 isnt great either tbh. Real badly made.

I honestly am not sure if there's much difference in any of the "brands" of grow equipment other than what sticker the chinese worker puts on the packaging.

Found a decent make. The green cube has no light leaks a lot more sturdier. Happy overall with it.
