Hey guys, I'm using a secret jardin 80 (2ft x 2ft x 68in) to make my first grow tent. I'm planning to use an LED 90w UFO from prosourceworldwide.com and grow in soil. I'm wondering what other parts i will need to buy for my setup. How many fans do you think I will need and how would i set them up? Also, Carbon filter a must for odor control? I'm just trying to figure out my final costs and i really have no idea what i will need, so any help would be great.

well as far as fans id say one for that grow tent. hang it up top in the corner.
not sure the ufo is gonna be enough but im interested in seeing.
the jardin is a cool tent i checked it ot on google for stealth.
carbon filter.. up to you bro i say you dont need it but then again i like the smell. i grow downstairs in a storage room and i cant smell them ever so it may not be an issue. id wait to see before i buy one.

thanks for the post, ill do a journal of it when its all good to go. i've been reading and the UFO im looking to buy is supposedly one of the best. I spoke to a rep today who also said it should work fine in a 3x3 and even better in a 2x2 so hopefully it will perform as I'd like. Do you think it is possible for me to ScrOG in this? I'm only worried about the smell because its on the ground level and the neighbors are close by. Do i need exhausts and blowers and such? I really dont know much about it so if someone can point me in the right direction it'd be great.

no dude your not farming them lol i dont think ull have to worry about smell in a 2x2. one fan for airflow should do fine. it does have a vent in the tent does it not?
and ya scrog will do fine in that. i saw a similar grow go very well like that.
how much was the ufo i heard they get pricey.

I got a Secret Jardin DS80 to m8, a great buy. You will need to have the fan on at all times the light is on, as I had my fan off for 15 mins and 2 babies a week old ended up bent over to the ground with the heat.(I have 400W HPS). As for a carbon filter, it is a must during flowering, without it the smell (however lovely) will travel for great distances once blown out by the fan.(Heavy jail-bait). Hanging your filter on the straps and bar provided, next to or above your light works perfect.
Make sure to kill that odor as that is the purpose of the Secret Jardin range, to keep your business a secret and not having grasses and snitches, ex partners or jelouse cunts, or even just the neighbours, know what your doing coz they smell it, next thing you know 5 O are burstin through your door.

falls.. I have my carbon filter hooked up to a TT extractor fan, 4" duckting through the top of my tent. I also fixed a section of 4" ducktin through the inlet on bottom right side. Also I put a small piece of mesh over the end of the ducktin to stop any wee bugs r spiders being sucked in, this gives me perfect air circulation. I got my fan and carbon filter on ebay for £55!!! cheap as chips. Average price is no more than £65 ($35 aprox), and they are perfect for the DS80 Secret Jardin, have a look at them online. For price and practicality its 100%.

I wouldnt bother with a ufo, they just dont give the buds size. Save some money and get a 250w HPS or 400w in cool tube and use rest for eletric bill. You will get FAR better results! LED's just dont have the penetration to reach the lower part of the plant. They are getting better slowly but are a long way off beating HPS even in Watt for Watt comparisons. The bloke trying to sell you a UFO will tell you it will work over 3' x 3' just to get the sale, but ya will b disapointed.

Sounds like your all ready for take off m8. The first 2 grows I done in a cupboard I used nothing more than my 400W hps bulb, no fans, filters or nothing. The smell was jail-bait and I had to water every day due to the heat, but I still got 8oz of smoke from 4 plants as 1 turned hermie. Thats why I'm so excited about this grow in my tent coz I know its 100% better for my plants which means 100% better weed!!!(hopefully).

yeah... personaly I find my 400W HPS light is perfect for my grow tent, also the yellow light that comes of the hps lights stimulates and encourages growth in the plants buds during flowering.
I have a limit on my electricity output and the LED I'm looking at has the best reviews out there. I'm going to stick with it and we will see how it works out, but thanks for the warning

keep in mind the electricity bill monthly cost that will build up on the 600w and the 11,000 hour life of the LED. It is definitely more expensive outright, but over the long run will easily pay for itself better than the 600w. I am at school now and I'm going home for summer so I probably won't start up the journal until I get back here in fall. It would be impossible to just let it go on its own for the entire summer and expect anything and i don't feel comfortable leaving it for one of my friends or roomates to tend to.
um... skip the LED light, I've never heard of nor seen a good harvest of marijuana done with LED. I've heard they can work for veg, but they're shit for flowering. Sure it might save more money, but for what it will give you it will not save money (get it?). If you have to keep the power down because those that own the power outlet might find out, ok I get that. But a 400w bulb shouldn't raise your electrical bill by more than 20 bucks a month at 18 hours a day for 30 days unless your electricity cost a ton in your area.

honestly with a 2x2 id go with a 150 watt to start return that light and use the money for somthing else. good nutes or growing in general gets expensive. and i easily pay for the 15 extra bucks or less a month with all the bud i get.

I've come to learn it isnt the fact that it is a LED UFO that causes some of the problems you talk about. Its who makes the LED UFO's that causes the problems.
