any tips would be apreciated. thanks

For 1 plant in its early stages, yes... but once the plant starts getting some height or (more importantly) flowering, its not gonna be nearly enough.

nope not enough get a 400 wat HPS / MH lamp. it is enough and you can get them cheap from insidesun 125 $ shipped to you. if you don't have 125 $ to spend on marijuana then you really arn't at a place in your life where you can grow it successfully indoors. i also recomend a 12 $ ppm meter from ebay and a 120$ grow enclosure but both of those are clearly optional. also use good soil from a hydro store or garden shop none of that MG pre nuted crap. basicly what im trying to say is this is a investment but it pays for it self in the first harvest expect to put in atleast 200 $ upfront ( thats a conservative estimate ) my set up ran closer to 700 but it was built over 3 years and a few harvests. if your just getting started invest your hard earned cash into a awsome grow light ( 125 $ ) good soil and nutes with feeding schedual fro mthe nute provider ( 40 $ ) PPM meter to ensure proper nute feeding ( 12 $ ebay its a pool supply ) and 5 - 10 seeds from nirvana shop 20-40 $ thats 197 - 207 $ for some REALLY REALLY dank juicy name brand sexy buds, just add water and time. If your going to do this do it right, also read through the entire grow FAQ ( reading i know it sucks but do it ) it will take maybe an hour and a half and save you a million head aches.

ill probably add more lights as i find them..
for bulbs though are the tube ones better than a normal bulb? or does it make no differance

CFL's (look it up) or fluoro tubes will work. Don't even bother with standard light bulbs. They won't work. I suggest that you get an HPS though.

if you don't have 200$ to spend you shouldn't be growing indoors thats like saying i want to build a house but i only have the budget for dry wall and glue not nails and boards it just wont work. yes the plant will grow yes CFL grows can be very successfull. but you need to know exactly what your doing and to be honest you will probley spend close to 200 $ trying to make a CFL grow worthwhile save your self some hassle

u can spend 50 $ and get a yield of around a 1/4 of some brown frown
or u can 200 $ and get ounces of name brand Ganja .

Your 60 watt light will dissapoint. Even 60 watts of led lighting would not be enough for anything more than a medium sized plant. If this is your second try I would spend 50 dollars Can. and get the husky 65 watt cfl work light. It is at home depot, bright green you can't miss it. I would suggest this as the minimum for one plant. This light is not suitable for flowering though. For a beginner you should flower with t5ho lighting. You can get a 4 foot 54 watt t5ho light at a grow shop for 39 dollars. Flower with at least four of these over only four plants and you should be happy. They do not produce much heat and can be placed 1 inch from the plants. If you try hps and don't have the money to do it right your whole house will be 100 degrees and your plants will suffer.

to be honest I have 2 400 watt hps / MH lamps + the t5 flouresent you saw with those 6 plants on a table to bring them closer to the light and i only have to use a box fan under the table to keep the air moving. granted i live in a colder state but i havn't had a problem yet this is my 3rd grow with all the lights

Smokey9. Do not use those lights. you will be dissapointed. Go with t5ho and it will rival hps with no heat and much cheaper investment. Everyone on here will tell you hps but many of them i think are lying. A 1000 watt hps can heat a large 3 bedroom condo to 90+ degrees. the grow room gets insane hot.

Breakdancer, what is temp in there/ outside room. Highs and lows? I appreciate don't mean to grill ya. I have T5 HO 6 bankd and they heat up tent ridiculously. Would like to put tent in cold basement.

i really think the tent in the cooler basement is key to my lack of a heat problem ( also i own 2 dogs 2 cats and its me and my wife so theirs plenty of co2 being generated and sinking into the basement :) ) but yeah to be honest i dont even have a thermometer in their or a humidity checker i just mist my plants on days i know humidity is low and they never showed any sign of heat stress ever so i never worried about it if i had to guess i would say 70-80 ?
