Second try at this, growing Moby Dick and Kandy Kush - how am I doing?

Hey everybody, this is my second serious grow; I had a plant last semester that reached the early flowering phase but had to be cut down so I started all over with these Attitude seeds. I just wanted to ask how I'm doing so far, see if there's anything I should be doing to help out my plants, so here're their statuses:

Moby Dick - almost 1 month old, ~7 inches tall, 8 sets of true leaves. I had a bit of trouble with some nute burn in the beginning but it's been neutralized and no more damage has been done.
Kandy Kush - 2 weeks old, ~2inches tall, 4 sets of true leaves. It's growing a bit slow compared to Moby but still fine.

And my setup: I've got a 400W MH light about 1 foot above the plants that I leave on most of the time except for the ballast to cool down and 3 fluorescent lamps for the undergrowth. The soil is just some MiracleGro potting soil in 3 gallon buckets. I water about every 3 days and mist lightly occasionally. There is also a fan blowing on them and the light so it doesn't get too hot. So yeah, what do you guys think?

Also, I'm considering initiating the flowering phase in a couple of weeks due to time constraints; will this be alright?

Thanks a bunch for your comments and suggestions!

1st, give it at least another two weeks b4 you think about flowering.

How many Hrs of light are they getting? might wanna steady that for when you are switching to 12/12 for flowering.

and Kandy Kush is AWESOME!

So I'd have to wait a month from now? I've got to harvest in the beginning of May, so in order to give it about 8 weeks of flowering I'd have to start in about 2 weeks. I don't care about having a large yield really, but will it work?

The get 24 hours of light, and I was thinking about just giving them a day of darkness before switching to the 12/12, does that sound fine?

Well that's good to hear :D

The 1 tall one you prob could go 12/12 in 2 weeks but not the rest. Also that 1 will only give you like 7g`s if you flower so small.

Well they're right next to each other so if I start one flowering, I'll have to start the other. Yeah I don't really care about that yield that much, I'd just like to actually have a yield even if it's small, so I guess I'll just wait a little for the small one to grow.
