little bit of stretch there but nothing to worry about... maybe look in to screening them bitches next time...
some scrog and a bit of supercroppin' get them canopies nice and low and wide

Ya thanks man. These plants have been through a lot in their lives so far. Had to bring them by a freakin car to our new house. Then they were hanging out in the walk-in closet for 2 1/2 weeks but they got too tall. Now they're in garage. 400 W HPS is about 2 ft from tops of the tallest plants. Next month these plants should be under a 1000 w HPS, in about 10-15 days. No money for it right now.
Can't wait to see what they look like in 4 weeks.

Will definitley have to look into scrogging and supercropping when I get a couple more dollars to spend on a grow.
For now I'm looking at another 300 USD for a 1000 W hps/hid ballast, reflector, and bulb.
Then going to use this digital 400 W hps to start vegging more seeds.

IMHO,if you plan on flowering with that 400w, you need to bring it wayyyy down. Its not putting out enough light to be floating that high, hence the major stretch on the plants. LST is cheap (free if you already have the supplies) and will increase your yield dramatically. Not to mention super easy to do! Hopefully you get that 1000w soon so you dont have to scrap the bottom 3/4ths of your buds.

Yeah getting the 1000 watt ASAP. I always kept the light about 20 inches away from the top, don't know what I did to make this one plant freakin 8 feet tall at 35 days of 12/12.

Hey thanks guys. Going to the horicultural store today to grab a 1000 W HPS to finish up flowering the three females, and I'm going to stick the hermie in the bathroom under the 400 W HPS.

I saw the sig so I had to come in and see what you had going on, plants are looking good. I read the whole "root bound" thing and chuckled a little, my plants always look and grow better starting in a big 5-7 gallon pot than they do starting in little pots and transplanting. not to mention less mess when you don't have to transplant. ever since my last auto and my kk grow (both started in 5 gallons) I plan on starting in big pots every time and letting them do their thing.

Yeah I started in 5 gallon pots except for germinating them in casino quarters cups this grow. Gonna start some more seeds tomorrow, and probably ordering some more too, so ya definitely gonna have another grow going during cure.

do you order from attitude? if you're interested you should pick up a pack of 3 afghan kush ryder seeds autoflowers (potent as hell and all indica, great bedtime strain). i have a 365w 6 bulb t5 fixture (mixed lighting) that i usually use for vegging, but this time i'm going to use it for 2 akr's all the way through.
i'm just going to throw them in a couple 5 gallon pots, set the timer to 20/4 and let them grow. plus my veg closet runs a little hotter so this strain would be perfect for the temperature. not to mention mold and pest resistant.
it would be cool to compare a grow of the same strain, mine under the t5's yours with the 400w hps. both in the 5gals

I didn't order from attitude last time, but I just might this time. I don't really want to grow autoflowers, but if you do a different strain I'd do a side by side grow with you for comparisons. Ok here's the pics. Yes the hermie is in the 'water closet'. I didn't realize the 1000W hps made the pictures get black lines in it so in about a week I'll some more pics without the HPS on.

The biggest Big Black Indica, about 8 feet tall. Day 37 flowering for all the plants. In about a week this fatten up nicely.
Oh by the way you can't see it in the pictures but the two Big black indicas started making massive amounts of crystals all round the buds. It's a sweet sight.
