Search Warrants

Can a police officer browse this forum and use it as evidence to get a search warrant against you? A big thought that won't leave my head.

Nope, they need something to corroborate other than words on a screen and various pictures. they will check your garbage, if they find something then they will get a warrant. Judges don't sign warrants over hearsay on the internet.

First they would need to care which they really don't because if they did you would be hearing about it all the time. Second they would need to get you ISP and then they would know where your at. I don't think its that easy to get an ISP from a site like this, but maybe I'm wrong. After actually finding your house and identifying you and what your doing they would need to take that to a judge who isn't going to be interested unless you have a house full.

Maybe they have an off the books arrangement that could be denied. Or if you live in Canada it's not stealing if they don't have it password protected (surprising how many places do this, hotels, ppl in apt's w/e).
