lol i understand to stationary u planing on back packing with just ur wits and bag of survival gear
very carefully, on short stints, with lite gear. i'm not well. sucks. i used to hew logs, hand-dig trenches.....crazy shit. hep c and esophageal issues hamper all the fun, hardy stuff i enjoy. i've traveled fast, down a hard road, and i'm paying for it right now. trying to get it all back, but its tougher as you get older.

the hunting is great. i haven't let loose an arrow on a live animal, other than city opossums, in a long time. just like to get out there. my camp has loads of berries and acorns, so we get the bear and deer. found two baby rattlers up there, under a stone.

shit.....now i gotta run out there and really do it........thanx Dan :)
i'm up to 10 coffee sacks full, 7 planted. peas and lettuce. made a hop trellis for the moved hops, which are comin' up. i was worried diggin' up, and movin' them might hurt them. they're Cascade. grown more for shade, aroma, and bio-mass, than as a beer additive, although i may brew a batch this fall.
having a hard time keeping this vertical bed hydrated. lost some plants to the sun already. it falls like a hammer on my S-facing exterior wall.

001.jpg002.jpg003.jpg004.jpg005.jpg007.jpg008.jpg009.jpg010.jpghop trellis and hops, if you can see them. coffee sacks with peas, leeks, and lettuce. the vert bed.......holding its own; hard to keep top moist. once roots establish, the matrix will be easier to keep damp. and everyone's favorite flowers. i threw down some more seeds, because they were thin.

I bet. Outstanding pix and you are incredibly creative. Gemini perhaps? And I wanted to touch base about the hydration problem at the top of the vertical garden, I was thinking, but don't feel bad telling me it won't work, that you could somehow put in a pump that recycles water back up to the top. A small and not so powerful pump. That raises just enough pressure to keep a steady trickle at the top and let it gravitate down. I AM baked atm so it's only a stoner thought. But sometimes they can lead to better ideas. Also I liked the vid. All boys club. Doin it naturally. Feel better. db

as usual, i'm gonna go passive and mulch the top with straw, and let the cards fall where they may. if greens can't hang up top, some herbs will. ima Leo, but don't put much in those signs. i liked baked ideas. i just burn calories in place of carbon if i can, so my garden has as small of a C footprint as possible. i'm high as shit right now:)

thanx, btw, for the compliment. i try. i truly believe in permaculture, full ethno-botanical freedom, and the end of fossil fuels. we should have clubbed the guy who invented the wheel, to death. 10,000 years later.........look where we are at. Sarin gas, smog, and pink slime meat. we will all be hunting with spears again, in the ruins of this nightmare, in another 1000 years.
