I have a 4×4 tent I have a purple haze purple kush and grandaddy purp. Should I have more plants in there? I plan on topping the 5th set of leaves and then top those once more. Also should I top the lower branches once them come up to the screen ? Thank you for any advice

What is your light situation? And a 4x4 is plenty for 3 plants you could probably do 4, I'm in a five-by-five doing 5 plants. You can probably even get away with 6 if you are doing autos.

You dont really have to top if you are using a screen. Just keep tucking the branches and shoots back under till they fill the net.
I top once before going under the screen, then just keep spreading it out.

Finally a proper SCROG, if I see string with a plant growing through it one more time I will lose My Shit! Great Job! I can easily fill a 4X4 with 2 Plants to answer His question. I like to use revegged plants also, they grow like vines and have fat stalks...

I wait for 6 nodes , then top at the 3rd, and remove the lowest branch set. Gives me 4 good mains like the picture above.

Scrog starts when they have recovered and gotten to a decent height to bend over under the screen.
Plenty of ways to do it, This is just my way.

First pic was a day or so after getting bent under the screen.
I flipped to 12/12 in between the 2nd and 3rd pic. They fill in quick
Started the seeds around Halloween
Its only a 2x2.5 tent

Wow what great information. So mine are at this stage now. 11 days old. So when u say let it grow out to 6 nodes then cut down to the third is that sorta like mainlining it and that's how u get the four main branches? Because I have only topped the top set of leaves I have never went down the stalk to the third and cut it I'm going to try it I just want to make sure I understand. So would you say about 8 inches above the soil for the scrog. Also when do you lollipop it?

Explains it alittle better than i can. Pics are missing though.

Choose a height that allows you good access under the scrog.
I dont lollipop. Been slowly removing leaves under the screen at this point and some of the big leaves up top.

So I am getting out of that thread is that when u cut right above the second node two branches will form at each node under where u cut? Also if that is the case why dont cut at like 6 nodes to get alot more braches. I'm just trying to understand a little better I appreciate your advice

No reason why you couldnt. It's more a matter of preference.
I dont do it exactly the way that thread says to, I like to wait longer so the plant has more vegetation to carry it on after the topping. To each their own.

So why do people wait till the 5 or 6th node to cut why would they not cut it right when the plant is at that node sorry for all the questions its just nice to have somebody that will listen

For the additional growth and roots to help the plant along.
Say you have have a 3 node plant with 6 leaves... It will recover way slower than a taller plant with more foliage.
