ScrOG?

Anybody here do this? And if so is it worth it/does it work? If so how much of a difference does it make? I used to tie down my tops and they would turn and grow back up, this seems to be similar in theory.

Lots of us do. Check out the Advanced Marijuana Growing thread on here, that is where you'll find information on plant training such as SCROG.

It's definitely worth it in a lot of situations, although you could go SOG as well if you wanted to run multiple plants with a shorter veg time. If you are legally restricted to a plant count or find it easier to manage less plants you should absolutely be training your plants if you want to maximize your yield. What you mentioned would be like LST, basically the whole goal of plant training is to get an even canopy so that all bud sites are at the same height so they all receive the maximum amount of lighting. You could easily double your yield by plant training vs not plant training.

I would say every training method would work. Just find one work best for you.
and scorg is what feel work best for me.
I tried LST, similar part for me is both method focus on grow plants flat not vertical.
Like you said, have to tie down branches wait them to grow back up. I figured I could be kind of mess, if dont do it right.
Scorg net its more simple, just tuck the branches wait them to grow back and tuck again.
Another benfit for me is the scog net hold colas. In my previous run without scrog.
In last few weeks branches can not hold the buds weight. fall to the side, this may not have them to received max light in last few weeks of flowering.

I grow in tent, I figured it can maximize my yield.
This my current grow in 10*5 tent:

Im no expert, still here to learn. Do appreicate @Anon Emaus shared some feedback on my thread about Scrog.
It infidelity help me a lot!
cheers

Is topping worth it? Ive only done it with one grow and the two colas I got were both smaller then the single colas on the plants I left alone and 2 plants didnt even grow new colas, so is it worth it really?

Scrogging helps me keep the top of my canopy even. Fiming has increased my yield, a lot. I do it every time I find a new top forming thru most of the veg phase.

Scrogging is meditative and much more labor intensive than other canopy management methods. You do get rewarded for your efforts though, with extra yield. :)

A small screen can take 30min, twice a day, at full growth rates during stretch. The awesome part is only having to raise the light, once flowering is fully under way. Forest of buds, awesome sight to see.

Make sure you can reach to all parts of the underside of your screen (test hight from res/pot top to under the screen for reaching)
Some strains do not scrog well, you end up with a large bud in the corner and popcorn all over the screen under the light.
You'll want maximum airflow through the leafy canopy, under your forest of buds. Zero slow/no air spots!
Use non-fiberous methods to tie the plant to the screen loosely. Tight ties cut off transpiration as the stems thicken up. ;)
Measure your light footprint if possible, might want to slightly dish your screen down or up in spots, to even out the lighting coverage.

Scrog, mmmmmm, good. :)
