ive used chicken wire before, Hog wire is better the hole size is perfect, No need to cut into it to expand hole size(like i did with the chicken wire). But string is good too

this is my thinking on scrog, its not the plant count i'm worried about our even the size. I'm sick of all the foliage I get and the little popcorn bud that are worhless to me. I'll be doing 12 plants hydro on a 6x4 with a 1000w light on a mover. It should increase my yield right?

FUCK YEAH it should!!!! When you reach flower stage just remember to trim the first 3rd of the plant under your screen. This should eliminate the dreaded popcorn buds. I hate those good for nothing energy wasters lol

Cool, how far from the base of the grow medium should I put the screen?

far enough away to get your hands under to prune and train. 10" or so.

a pair of long pruners really help with lollipopping. bonsai shears are ideal.

i'd say thats personal prefrence mate! how much head room u got?? i put mine 10 inches from the soil. Since your doing hydro that may be of no use to you because of the growth rate. I use Hog Wire it has 2in X 4in holes, perfect and cheap.

the top is your main training lead. it gets most of the screen filled.

Interesting! so Im used to vegging about 18" then I go to 12/12. Lets say the plants were not under the screen, Just standing straight up....how tall do you think a good veg would be? hypatheticaly, so I have an estimate of veg for the scrog?

i veg to screen height + 2 or 3 inches...............lower my screen and scrog away.
