Are there really NO dispensary in Grants Pass, Oregon? I just moved up here from San Diego to help out my sister and brother in law with their new business. Someone please tell me weedmaps screwed up and forgot to add a dispensary around here and that I don't have to drive 5 hours to Portland to pick up some meds for my Insomnia.
They don't care if I grow but it'll be at least 2-3 months till I get set up and a decent harvest again.
Anybody know of anything?

Appreciate that brother, really hoping I'll find something as well. Yeah kinda weird there is about 50 dispensaries in Portland but not a single one around here.

So in other words, you dont have anything useful to add right?
Also smart one, a lot of people just click the "new post" button to see all the new posts posted in all the forums, so yes his post would bump me up to the top.

Lol this makes zero sense. Stop acting like a ignorant 15 year old and maybe somebody will take you seriously for once. Speaking for your self?
I suggest you learn a little about how the forum actually works, just because you filled out a application and got the mod spot really does not mean that you actually deserve it, especially due to the lack of time you spend on here.
I'm guessing if you did spend a little bit more time on here you wouldn't have that mod spot already.

Right lol dont even know who the hell this guy is.
I actually found a delivery collective in Coos Bay about 2 hours away from here, probably an hour or so on a motorcycle not to bad, also a couple by Eugene which is about the same distance or so. Might be heading out that way later this week.
Met a few people around here but the quality of the stuff is very poor, burns your throat and lungs, and just really shitty looking stuff.
If you find anything else, let me know bro. Appreciate the help.

I'm a relative newcomer to Oregon, but I can tell you that Portland is a way different scene than many of the more rural cities in the state. Portland is like a super densely population blotch of blue that slighly outnumbers all the rural red country surrounding it. I think when/if the latest bill to legitamize the dispensaries in Oregon gets signed all the way through you will see people more willing to take a chance outside of Portland. This isn't to say that dispensaries don't operate outside of Portland at all, just that they are much fewer and far between and come with a stronger opposition.

Right now I am about a half hour from you in Medford, there are several smoke shops that are not dispensary but they still operate the same way. Some are pretty good some shady and some won't do business less they know you or you know someone.
Been a lot of local bust lately.

The governor just signed the bill yesterday if you look at the thread I posted last night you can actually read it and the letter the governor wrote for the signing. Now we just need a state bank and we are set.

Salem, Ore. -- Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber on Wednesday signed a bill legalizing medical marijuana dispensaries, setting the stage for the state to regulate and inspect businesses that have operated for years in a legal gray area.Oregon was one of the first states to allow the legal use of marijuana with a doctor's recommendation, and the state has issued marijuana cards to 56,000 people. The law requires patients to grow the drug themselves or designate someone to grow it for them. Dozens of dispensaries have popped up around the state, but they're not explicitly authorized. In some areas, authorities have moved to shut them down. Elsewhere, police have left them alone.

The bill gives the Oregon Health Authority new power to run background checks, conduct on-site safety inspections and perform financial audits. The agency will begin drafting regulations for approval early next year.
"It's vital now that the people who are involved in the medical marijuana program implement this bill very responsibly to ensure that patients have safe access and that they are good neighbors in their communities," said Geoff Sugerman, a lobbyist who helped write the bill.
Critics warned that the bill could lead to abuses, including marijuana sales for profit. In a letter explaining his decision, the governor said he understands the concerns and shares them "to a certain extent."
Kitzhaber, a Democrat, said marijuana dispensaries should be charged high enough fees that the state health authority "can be extraordinarily vigorous in their enforcement of the rules that are developed."
Voters in Washington and Colorado voted last year to legalize marijuana without a doctor's recommendation, but Oregon rejected a similar measure. Advocates here are collecting signatures in hopes of trying again in 2014.

A patient and friend bought this there and at ten bucks a gram I say he got taken. He brought it over to show me and he was very disappointed at the taste and quality20130529_213747.jpg20130529_213747.jpg.
