Small update.

I left the last straggler in the tray for a week and it persisted, so it earned a spot in the lineup. It's going to endure more stress, as I can't cater to its needs exclusively, but I have hope.

I'm hoping to have flood and drain set up by new year, my employer has other plans, so we shall see...

Long way off from flower, as I plan to get one chem fuego run in prior, and the Consumption x Choc Thai is going strong.

At this point it's probably better to switch to a grow journal. Updates will be more sporadic here until flower, but I will share developments when they start maturing and showing their true structure. 20231220_202009.jpg20231220_202017.jpg20231220_202101.jpg

Oh man, looks like your about to have your hands full.
When I grew out the Killer A5 Haze doing drain to waste in coco, I flipped them at about 6 inches and they would of ended up over 6 feet if it wasn't for constant heavy training.

I'm still waiting on my beans.
Sativa Hoarders had some significant delays getting my order shipped, says they will hook me up with some more freebies.
Yeah, it takes some time, but mine arrived out of the blue about 2 weeks from ship. The tracking just stopped updating and then one day they were here.

I'm going to sex them, clone them, get the roots nice and healthy, cut them back to the lowest possible point, and then flip them. I've got a few months to iron out the details. Hell, they might be my first dirt grow lol

they molded
I am so very sorry. That is why I bought a Freeze Dryer. My buds were so damn dense and large from monster cropping I knew I couldn't let them sit I'd likely get mold. I wasn't sure if it wouldn't ruin the terpenes but I figured if the pot molded then I wouldn't even have the drug. Turns out it does preserve the terps. I got lucky.

I appreciate the sentiment. I would be much more upset if I needed the smoke, but I am sitting pretty on a few harvests now. Learned my lesson about cutting corners after putting in the hard work, hopefully I wont have to learn again anytime soon.

Someone sent me down the DIY wine cooler dry box rabbit hole, but I havent heard about freeze drying. If you dont mind me asking, what kind of freeze dryer did you buy, and what features should I look for if I were to start looking for one?

I may or may not have been guilty about the Koolatron. BTW I now use my Koolatrons in conjunction with my Freeze Dryer. The Koolatrons store all my pot and keeps it perfectly fresh.

Go enter the contest and win my Freeze Dryer. Although mine is the black model. It's the medium and I love it. I may eventually as I continue in the live path get a scientific freeze dryer or just add a digital bleed valve to mine but so far the terp loss is unnoticeable. Also you can freeze dry candy and it's amazing LOL. Just ask @TCH

I hope you win or TCH or any of the other RIU guys who have entered. It would be so cool to have a group of us here on a freeze drying thread. We could even have @Laughing Grass makes us our own Community Journal (CJ). Although we'd probably have to kick her some candy

BTW I'm a year late but I have that third flower tent FINALLY (put it up today), and got my electrical upgrade in so if I keep on task and have no issues running (read that fishing and cursing) Romex my mini splits maybe in prior to 6/1 when it's officially too hot to enter my attic.

Bummer to hear this. The plants look great, sort of Dieselish structure.
It saddens me that AKBB may have retired from breeding or at least temporarily.

Is this a curing technique?
Curing weed is highly overrated IMO unless your into patchouli
I would use a freeze dryer for so many things if I had one.

The man has his battles to fight, but I doubt we have seen the last of his work.

I find curing to be integral for long term storage and quality control, but to each their own.
