Yeah, harvest the main colas first if they're looking good, but 5C isn't gonna kill anything if the days are still getting relatively warm. You'll be pissed if you take all your tops down and find out they could have been out to fatten up for another week without consequence.

Went to the plot today. I did my last fertalizer of the season, so no chemicals are left in the bud to ensure good smoke. I first folar sprayed each whole plant with a 1L spray bottle containing: 1ml of white sugar, 1ml of 15-30-15 fertilizer, and of 10ml neem oil. As I was spaying them I also removed all pale, dead, and dying leafs. As well as killed a few spiders.

I then watering fertilized the plants with a 10L watering can, I put in it: 8ml of white sugar, and 8ml of 15-30-15 fertilizer. I then packed away my fertilizers and nutrients for the season, took some pictures and fled the area.

Any advice on when to harvest? going with before the first frost a good idea?

Pictures:
Top left is a bud in the sun, bottem left is a sun in the shade. Top right is the mother I've been taking pictures of all along, shes no longer the largest anymore. And bottem right I a overall view.

Your right freddiemoney, so i guess i should buy one of those 30x magnifying glass and just wait till the THC crystals turn the right colours i sappouse. that seems like the only sure fire way to get the most rippiest buds. I guess if the main colas are ripe before the tempature dips belowing freezing then the small buds will have extra time to develope.

Also based on peoples responses im going to contiune fertilizing untill september 7.

-on a side note im going to be using epsom salts for my next grow, +rep thanks man

No problem! Best of luck when harvest comes around. Here in Ontario it's really just about picking the right time to harvest: It's a compromise between buds being "finished" vs. mold, frost etc.

I wouldn't even consider harvesting until mid to late October.....If your growing a sativa it might not be finished until November. First frost is usually around the second week of November. Keep feeding all through September.

harvest that late in the season even though im growing a indica domient strain, i was just reading the reviews for what i beleive the strain is called, "fucking incredible". and it says it harvest around 7 to 9 weeks. flowering started for me during the first week of agust. so if the weather permits harvest should be around september 19 to october 3. does anyone have any better guess of what the strain could be??? when i bought it the guy said the strain was called "what you want", and "bongo" or "bango", but after looking up these names with no success. i thought that it could be "fucking incredible" since its the only strain name i beleive could get mixed up with what you want, and the plant does fit the description:
" Fucking Incredible is a pure Indica and was created by combining the genetics of two magnificent Indicas back in 1990. Seven generations of stabilization breeding gave us F.I. as we know it today. fucking Incredible has been a VISC flagship ever since. First available to the general public in 2006 this breed still provokes the exclaimation that named her - "This is Fucking Incredible!!" She likes a higher PH (6.6-6.8) in soil and in a two gallon will be around 3' to 4' tall, flowered 7 to 9 weeks will yield 70-100 gr/2-2.5 oz."

That's a pretty nice season! I'll usually be getting pretty regular frost by mid October, it's the rains that come before that like to screw with me. What would you say is the furthest town to the North that is classified as "Southern Ontario"? Peterborough?

Well...more like south of Lake Simcoe/Georgian Bay, but you look at Barrie and they might have snow by then. So it's a tough call. The lake effect ya know?

Gotcha, I haven't been to Southern Ontario too often, other than to TO a few times and Wasaga Beach. That lake effect is a real blessing for some of you guys!

yes. living near a large body of water has some nice advantages. the tempature around here is warmer then other parts of ontario because in the fall when it starts cooling off, that large body of water holds its heats and slowly releases it make the growing season a couple weeks longer by holding off frost. also with the warm weather coming from the south hitting the colder weather from the north causes more rain around the lake area the farther inland. i guess i get longer warm weather aswell as more rain

i like how they lend into the grass!!!
funny you say that, last time i was there i noticed some jackass took his quad in to the location my grow is. i sware the four wheelers trail marks must have been less then 50 meters from my grow. heart was pounding when i saw the track but the dummy didnt fint shit! put some nails in the ground where he came into the woods so its all good now :)

sargent i must say you're getting way ahead of yourself postin prices man your whole crop could still be ruined by mold or found by the opp or some shit not to mention those prices get quite bad after qp i think 950 and 1700 or 1800 makes alot more sense you'd have to be a sucker to buy a $2000p of outdoor unless you actually have a great strain and cure it all well, best of luck with the grow tho man it does look legit just try to keep your head straight one thing at a time.

HARVEST PLAN?

ok so my strain is recomened to be harvested at 7 to 8 weeks, say if i decided to harvest next weekend (end of the seventh week). at this harvest i would remove all of the plants main colas. NOW i was thinking what if i then leave the smaller buds that were always shaded to recive a extra week of flowering and ill harvest them the fallowing weekend (end of the 8th week). good idea?

that would work 4sure but are you harvesting acording to trichomes or weeks...you should really harvest when your trichs are ready:)

id be harvesting two seperate weeks, id like to got by trichomes but since im going to be harvesting and triming all by my self i want to eas the work load, n having that much dope sitting around all at once would spell mold. when i harvest though ill inspect the trichomes and if every thing seems good il chop the main colas

HARVEST PLAN?

i harvest the top colas of each plants branches on friday afternoon, september 17(flowered for 7 weeks). i then spend the rest of my weekend trimming and laughing. then drying after trimming. i estimate drying will take around a week. and the fallowing friday evening, september 24(end of week 8 of flowering), ill harvest the buds that were below the main colas. because i removed the top colas a week ago, the ones that were always shaded recived a extra week of flower with full sun. trim and repeat.

i am going for the double harvest idea because one, harvesting all that once would be to much for one person, second all that drying matter would increase my chances of mold, third because ill have the buds that were shaded got a extra week of full sun, and fouth because ive heard stressing cause a plant to produce more THC, so the second harvest buds will be stressed from having their tops cut, and with that extra boust of full sun for a week those buds should be amazing. also thrusday evening before the second harvest i think ill remove all the large fan leafs to make harvesting and trimming easyer for the next day, and thatll cause some stress aswell.

also today i did a little expirment. i harvested my smallest plant. im drying the buds out in a paper bag. ill have to do a smoke test shortly
