Seriously though, since I've installed the new led strips, I've never seen stockier, bushy, healthy plants. Just flipped, and hoping for a decent harvest !!

... it'll be an incredible first yield, lol!

Lol, cheers Corey. I like to see the full details to help people, but it does look a bit OCD !! :D

I'm still messing on with light distance, but my new lux meter is reading at around 55,000 lux at about 10", and 48,000 lux at about 14". It's fairly even across the canopy too, so for around £200 I'm well pleased. They would happily grow much closer though, so if I resumed scrogging I think I could even manage around 70,000 lux at canopy.

I did a section in my perpetual on one run, where I blew out 70K LUX at canopy (BXEB 3000K strips, measured with the "Dr. Meter" el cheapo Lux device). I found no noticeable difference from the 45-50 K areas….. Of course this is nowhere near definitive proof of that level of light not having benefit in some way, it just wasn't that time. I had to squash down the footprint on the frame, so in effect I potentially actually LOST yield.
For me, and others may attest, 45-50K is the honey spot with these strip types, of white LED, photon quilt generators.

Yea, profits gets smaller with increased intensity and with 70klx or ~1000μmol/s/m² you need probably some additional CO² to really see a difference. 50klx is already in the high performance range and at the end the tops grow anyway a bit higher and get increased brightness by less distance to the light. It's also easier to keep the plants happy, especially for LED beginners using soil I always recommend to use 50klx. It's also much harder to keep the VPD/humidity in the needed range with +1000μmol/s/m².
