Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

You have 12 strips wired in parallel (+24V) which are then wired in series with another 12 strips in parallel (+24V) for 48V (max).
no , i actually copied your build and the one on the ledgarden website to come up with mine. im counting both of your frames as one light. so 24 in parallel wired in series with another 24 in parallel. Whats that yield me ? thanks again bud!

got my 100 double row strips today, waiting on the other 100 single row strips, stocking up is fun! couldnt pass up such a great deal!

The leds arrived in a very large 12kg box and are all in perfect condition, Free shipping and NO TARIFFS couldn't ask for more ;).

Tempted to buy more, but i better not :fire::weed::wall:

So roughly how much would it cost to build a light with these strips for a 4x8 veg light. I actually need 2 of them, I wanna raise my veg tables and do a bunk bed style with these on the bottom row. So I'm thinking they need to be run soft.

I dont think you need anymore unless you have a warehouse to grow in or are reselling lights. Rough calculations if you ran them soft like me youd have enough strips to go 40watts/square foot and cover ten 4x4 tents, double that if you push them hard. LMAO definitely need MOAR!!!

i might burn up 5 or 20 boards so i got extra :bigjoint: im gonna use whatever i got laying around the house to drive a few of them boards.... not too sure how that will work for me.
i may grab some f series to cover my fuckups.
From this thread and mainly haze: the f series will need a heatsink even running soft ? 144 diodes in a 2 ft strip ?

Ive never used a F strip, when i built my first batch it was 2017, they werent out yet. Going by prawn connerys postings it sounds like youd want some kind of heatsink, but im not the one to ask.
The boards aren't like bulbs they have something rediculous like 60,000-100,000 hours life, something 10x better will be out before you burn these suckers out. My veg one has been going strong 18 hours a day for 3 years as good as they day it was new. I bought all HLG drivers so id expect another 2 or 3 years before they die on me. This batch im likely going XLG drivers, they are cheaper cost but just like f series, didnt exist in 2017.

All these boards are 50,000 hours. if i use your logic then they will last much longer. (just an educated opinion)
I plan on driving a few with old laptop chargers and maybe a couple other things i got laying around. i wanna put a couple under my cabinets an stuff like that. im even going to hang a couple above house plants. i really only "need" 20 or 30 boards to cover my veg but i love to tinker with shit.....so i may build another light.
I spent 1350 bucks on 2 prebuilt lights that are still in the mail , so i prolly shouldnt be rushing but for those prices i about have to .... im just like every other grower i have ever met....SUPER CHEAP.

Im of the opinion that quality drivers are worth their cost if you plan on running alot of hours through them. Electrical efficiency alone should pay for itself. At least thats the logic i used to decide, i could be completely incorrect.

In my mind a few extra % efficiency when over its life im putting thousands of dollars worth of electricity through it is worth it.
Thats the same logic that made me move to LEDs in 2017.

nope but im thinking 19 volts will light them up ....not sure how many or if it will work at all ....just my thinking.

Im not trying to get out of getting a good driver ,.....im going to do that for sure. im going to dedicate 48 boards to real drivers. the other few boards im going to play with....

I wish those f series was 3k...:wall:
Lots of folks are stuck on 3k being the flower spectrum but thats just now how it works. if i needed an led light right away , i would not hesitate to use 4k or 3500k . 3000k may be a bit better for the task but no one can prove it. just my 1 cent.
