Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

Your bridgelux at typical everything is running 186 lm/w .... after you run them extra efficient , then you will be well above 200lm/w. I cannot do that with mine. Like you mentioned already , if i want to match that then i would have to step up to a lm301b or newer. Those are never "givin" away like the rest were.
The lm561c is usually the best deal you can find but i aint seen them cheap in almost a year.

EDIT: after looking at the specs , i think the lm561c can match or beat the BL strips at 3k. So yes, an h strip build would be waaaaay cheaper lumen per watt.

Just a thought from my miserly self. I have built really productive lights with LM 3528 flex strips. Not the same and less efficient. Yet really cheap. My 301H's are overkill and a poor choice after a some average tent runs. Be sure to add dimmers to your builds.

like these 178lm/w and almost 3x the price but only 1.6X more watts at nominal current.
Also the EBs can be run at 1050ma with the same heat sinks I bet they end up still being more efficient and providing almost the same wattage per strip.

I sure wish i could have gotten H influx for the price we were getting them at !! If i was able to buy ANY lm301b's at that price i would buy thousands of strips just for me. :bigjoint:

Yea dont get me wrong , these guys were literally stealing them at the prices they had/have. I aint seen no cheap ones in awhile but ill post when i do.
Best im seeing is older influx for 2.50 a strip ......i aint done no math to compare to the nice bridgelux ones because we were getting them for under 2 a strip after fees an duties.

Now im wanting to build some flower lights so im interested in whatever is cheap and reliable. Any input is welcome ....ill start with them 10 dollar bridgelux and see what i can come up with. (no heat sink...so need to be ran a bit soft)

The bridgelux are nice too because you can get the 90cri for just a few dollars more with free shipping and no tariffs from future electronics.

My most recent build was just over 100 bucks for 660 watts. That one was a bit older only coming in at about 170lm/w. Now for that price i CANNOT say that its better then your fixture or even a match in quality but the efficiency is there.

These are also an awesome deal for clone / seedling lights. Samsung 30W Constant Current 555ma 37-54v w 0-10V dimming for $2.50 each. tested with a rapid led dimmer and works perfect. the only thing is you need some kind of housing or enclosure for the driver.

That’s awesome, I’m putting up v groove sound pad on the roof and the strips fit perfect in the V. I also have box lights that I gutted and am just throwing some strips in with thermal tape and a little driver, toss the tubes and ballasts. Grabbed 15 of those $2.50 Samsung’s for the occasion before they went back up in price. Figure they will run a couple strips each. I still have some 4K f series too, missed out on the 3500s.

I still check almost daily lol..

Honestly we all love them 3000-3500K for their reds. But I am starting to change my mind on this. Dr Bruce bugsby talks about in his spectrum video how they found no different in yield as long as the same par intensity was given regardless of
Spectrum.

Thinking about attempting a 4K build to flower with next as a test. And they are usually slightly more efficient.

I have always used HID, this round I have 20 4K f series on the walls with my HIDs overhead, will be running them right threw flower. I have flowered with straight MH before though.

Just built some interesting boards if 4k is your thing. Cree in 4000k 98 CRI and Cree XPE-2 Far reds

I know from experience , you will not notice a visible difference at all.

Me too, never noticed a difference either. Only switched back because , as pot growers , we have to , right ? red is for flower....:eyesmoke:

Im doing led and hps as i cant get my partner to agree to a full switch yet. (I personally, see zero reasons to keep using hps. Even if the specs were the exact same , i would still use leds for the FAR BETTER spread......but thats another topic....sorry :eyesmoke:

I had planned on building a 1k led fixture to run this summer. I’m a couple months behind on my current grow so I’m going to be into summer before I’m done. I bought a new 1k DE bulb for this round, 2100k/2100umol, I have the 600w strips on the walls and another SE mh bulb overhead.

I have 26 4K fstrips and 26 3500k L09 (i think, 96 diode) available for the build but I’m kinda wanting some far red and uv strips yet before I think about it that much.

HPS feels right but all these guys who grew with hps never looked back. The grey area for me is running 1150 watt de ballasts on good bulbs. Nobody comments comparisons on de, before they ditched, I know se bulbs are old news, so is de. I don’t know, so many opinions based on reading and not experiences. Like at the time, I could not really see a difference flowering in the 4K range, I have too much invested now to experiment again though haha.
