Hi guys,

Recently discovered a cool trick with my Samsung S6 EDGE+ It should work on all Samsung's with a light sensor.
Thought you guys might find it useful.
If you dial *#0*# it brings you to the phones hardware test menu.
Choose sensor -> Light Sensor

Gives you information for:
Lux
Red, Green, Blue, White
CCT

I wonder how accurate it is though...

Take it outside at high noon if it show 100,000 + then it should be pretty accurate. Lux meters are like $5 on ebay so I doubt this would be a difficult thing for the phone to do.

Interesting that it is even there tho. Maybe someday we can simply download PAR and Spectral analysis apps on our phones without needing anything else.

Probably any smartphone has this. At least I have never had one without, since they use this to dim the screen in relation to ambient light levels.

Download an app for Lux meter or Light meter, or something like Sensors Multitool to get at all the sensors in there.
