So added another bank of led's in bloom today and powered them up. Holy flippin brightness! Sum ting wong...
5' x 8' currently running Bridgelux EB Gen 2 3000k and 3500k alternating spaced 2" apart I'm told 22,250 watts running full throttle with 3 Mean Well 480H-42B drivers wired 220v. All has been well in week 6 of bloom, first go around with new setup.

Had room to add 6 more strips in bloom (the ADDICTION has set in... more, more, more) to complete the blanket of led's so I powered up the new set today using a Mean Well 240H-48B driver wired 220v. It appears the difference between 42B and 48B is vast. I got sent the wrong driver or I purchased 6 wrong drivers. I use 3 Mean Well 240H-42B drivers in Veg. Running 6 each Bridgelux EB Gen 2 4000 K strips.

In Veg. I get at 3" distance from lights 28,200 lumens centered between the 4000k strips.
I Bloom I get at 3" 13,200 lumens centered between 3000K and 3500K strips.
New 48B driver I get at 3" 82,000 lumens centered between 3000K and 3500K strips.
7,200 lumens when dimmed down to idle.

I assume the 42B drivers are correct and I will have to run the 48B just above idle.

But It makes me wonder what you you getting for brightness? Does the above numbers sound right at 13,200 lumens at 3" distance?

Hi! For a 5x8 so 40ft2 you will need 40x30= 1200w! You need this to bloom! I would say 800w to vegg so with 3 hlg-240 you should be fine but 3 inches between diodes and plants looks a bit close unless you dimmed down a the lower intensity! 8 or 10 inches would be better I guess! I have cobs so I am not sure but from what I read 8/10" would be better!
About the strip how do you know it is that much lumen?
Have a lifted one

A flippin lot! I would have to look. Probably don't want to know.
$20.00+ each for the strips Arrow. 60 strips total $1200.00 ish.
Mean Well drivers from Mouser Electronics 4 240's and 3 480's $650.00 ish.
Frames were rude, $900.00+ for the welder and 600 ish for aluminum. For Bridgelux Fuck Aluminum. No heat with these led's the last frame for 6 strips I made out of 3/4" plywood. 1" hole saw and jig saw cut it up looks just like the aluminum frames design wise less than 2% of the cost. Painted white.
Wire and incedentials $200.00 ish.
Timers were $200 ish x 3.
We wont even get into intake, exhaust, carbon filters, trailer, humidity control, heat, circulation and on and on and on. But I have thus far enjoyed every minute of it. I forgot how therapeutic growing can be. Allot like sitting around a camp fire enjoying a fatie with Ginger and Mary Ann.

Plant spacing under lights is more like 6"-8", 3" is just were I took the reading at for reference only.
