Samsara's Sweet Black Angel, 12/12 from seed monstrosities!!! with pics!

I threw these 2 seeds into my last grow to replace 2 male bagseeds. I was trying to do a side by side grow of bagseed and the sweet black angel....figures the bagseeds would turn out male! anyway....these plants are out of control! The bigger, of the 2 plants, is 44 inches tall!! I know that both of these plants have suffered from over-fertilization....could this be why these plants turned out so big? Both of the 12/12 from seed plants grew bigger than the one that was vegged for 3 weeks. These plants are not even finished yet, both having at least 2 weeks or more to go. It's a good thing that my timing was good and that my other 3 plants finished, before these 2 fat chicks crowded out my grow area!! The plants are in Dr. Earth pot o gold soil under 400w hps and were fed drammatic k and, unfortunately, a dose of miracle grow 15-30-15...which caused the over-fertilization!....both plants have been fully flushed and are recovering.
I'm not sure what I did here but I gotta say that the plants have some seriously dank buds going on...and, like I said, are still several weeks out from harvest! Please let me know what you guys think!! :)

I've never seen a 12/12 from seed get almost 4 feet tall...has anyone else?...actually the biggest plant would have grown to over 5 feet if not for being tied down! I'm still considerably new to growing and I am wondering if this is because of strain...over-fertilization...is it a fluke?..this is my 1st run, with the new hps conversion bulb that I bought for my 400w mh....did that do it? The reason, for my concern, is that I have limited grow space...and I have 5 new plants ( 3 dp bluberry, 1 trinity kush and 1 grapefruit krush) waiting to go in...and now I'm concerned that there won't be enough room for all of them to finish!

I am currently growing this strain also. It will be 4 weeks since germination tomorrow. I am a lil concerned about her growth. I added another CFL on Saturday and it seems like she is sprouting a little better now. She is only about 4 inches tall. I have her on 18/6. Did your plants start growing more, once she started producing buds? I have some pics if you want to see...

Of course I'd love to see any pics you have! I read, somewhere, that this strain can stretch up to 260% once flowering is initiated...which is true..they really do. These 2 plants were straight 12/12 from seed tho and seemed to get much bigger than the one that I vegged for 3 weeks...not sure why that is.

260%?!?! Wow that's a lot! I hope its true, because right now my baby seems to be small. It will be 4 weeks from germination tomorrow. Here are some pix that I took todayphoto (5).jpgphoto (4).jpgphoto (3).jpg

What's your lighting like Loud? Looks like she could use some more...it's hard to say tho because I'm pretty new to this too. What size is your pot? Here's a shot of my vegging plants that broke soil on march 4th..so that makes them 4 weeks old today actually :) I am using cfl's for veg also so I'll throw in a shot of the light fixture my bro and I made, out of parts we found laying around the house. In the fixture are 2 40w cfl's and 4 26w ones...seems to do a nice job. plants are from top left, grapefruit krush, trinity kush, then 3 blueberries! :)

These were Connoisseur Genetics' OJ's Haze that were 12/12 fs. I pruned them into single colas, though, so they shot up past 4 feet! I had the space, fortunately. Just harvested the buggers, actually. Yours look very nice. Good job.

I'm using 2 35w fluorescent tube lights and I added a 75w CFL. At first I was just using the tube lights, then I realized she needed more light. So I went and got the CFL. As soon as I did that, it seem like she started to perk up a little more. I was thinking about getting another CFL. I put her in a 5 gallon pot about a week ago. I was first using the jiffy cups....

I started out, using cfl's through to flower and I've had some amazing results. The only thing about the cfl's is that you need a good bunch of them and also to keep them close to the plants. Home Depot sells a 300w cfl bulb which is huge! I have 2 of those and now they have the 150w ones too. I would definitely add more bulbs as she grows. Also, I've learned that air circulation is super critical...I always have a fan blowing on my babies...oscillating fans are best...and some days I put the fan on low and other days medium, to mimic a more gusty day! :)...and if you are short on space, a small fan works too but you absolutely have to have one!
Keep me posted on your progress, Loud. I look forward to seeing how she turns out. :)

Oh ok. I am very new to this growing thing, so all this information is new to me. Does she look healthy for her age?
NP you get better by asking and sometimes you will be lynched for questions but just brush it off and find the people willing to help, they are here you just have to look hard under all the resentful haters that have a closed mind.

I would say more light as it seems smallish for 4 weeks, but I run DWC which gets em bit bigger quicker.

Do you use CFL's the whole grow or do you switch to HPS during the flower stage? I have an oscillating fan in my grow room. Some times I turn it off when the lights go out. Should I leave it on the entire time? I think I am going to go to the store and get another CFL and see if that helps her sprout a little more. I know when I added the first CFL it made a change over night. So I am going to see what the extra light does to her. I will definitely keep you posted. I'm sure I will have some questions.:-)
