Samsara Holy Grail 69--my first attempt at mainlining

So this was a freebie seed I got from Herbie's. There wasn't much as far as plant growing specifics, but after some digging around, figured it looked like a nice strain to try (cross of Punky Lion x Haze). Bloom finishes in 60-70 days, 21% THC, so yeah. We'll experiment a bit with this one.

Wanted to try some mainline techniques, so I used landscaping staples to do the job. Topped at 3rd node, trained new shoots outward, topped again, topped those shoots, lollipopped and bound down with the staples, the plant actually trained very nicely (unlike my northern lights, which wanted to retain a dominant central cola, regardless of how I topped or trained it). The planted has stayed relatively squat and has stayed close to the dirt. So much so, that the manifold ended up sinking down into the soil giving the plant the appearance of being many smaller plants in the same pot. I wanted to end up with 8 colas, and I've left the staples in place as I don't have the metal "ring" to attach the branches to. No matter. It's still relatively flattened to the soil, and the colas are reaching upward to form some nice budsites.

This plant was originally started in a hydro setup that went horribly wrong and was setting in quickly with root rot, so quickly pulled it and put into soil. I popped this bean sometime late Dec., so it's been in veg ever since. Training has also extended the veg substantially, but I'm patient enough to let it finish out as it should. After harvest, I'd really like to reveg and retain this plant, possibly as a mother. hg1.8.jpg hg1.31.jpg hg2.6.jpg hg2.13-1.jpg hg2.20.jpg hg3.2.jpg hg3.4-2.jpg hg3.4-2.jpg hg3.4-3.jpg hg3.4-4.jpg
