8 years ago my oldest son was on his way to my house with granddaughter and two grandsons. An impaired driver hit them head on. It took VFD over an hour to cut my son out of the wreckage. He was conscious the whole time. As soon as the pressure of the twisted front-end was removed he coded. EMTs got him breathing again. He didnt wake again for 4 months. His first mumbled whispered words " oh dad help me please ". He went thru 3 years of therepy and rehab. Now he can waddle-walk like a very elderly man, he'll never drive again, or work ( he was one of my better employees) , he needs constant supervision 24/7 . Everyday he mourns the loss of his old life working and being indepenant.
To me DWI is a serious issue.

I'm so very sorry for the tragedy that happened to your son and your family. All the best! There are no words to offer to lesson a horror like that.
