Anybody grow salvia? I'm looking into growing it and am wondering if anyone could share personal experiences on its cultivation.

I know you can buy clones of salvia and have heard of people growing it
Sally is very easy to grow, she doesn`t like too much direct sun or very dry air. If you put it somewhere humid like a bathroom windowsill and mist a few times a day it`ll be 4ft high in no time.
Cuttings root easily in a glass of water inside a week so you`ll only need one cutting or plant to get started.

hahah i grew it for a while. in seattle there was a nursery and some guy had them order like 400 plants for him. so anyways the guy never picked them up and they just sold them to the public. so i bought a couple plants. they were cool looking and really easy to grow. sadly i went to germany and they were dead when i came back. i just took the leaves and made extract and yes it was good 
. its a pretty cool looking plant, but in my opinion the high is kinda lame hahah. but some people really like it. i would rather just eat mushrooms!!!

haha did the nursery tell people they were selling Salvia? thats nuts!

Salvia makes two types of leaves depending on if it is growing in humid or dry conditions. The wet type tends to have the browning at the tips...
I recently got 2 cuttings of which one lost all its leaves in like 2 weeks. I then transplanted the stump and roots into a mix of 50% garden soil and 50% fertiliser... should proabably have added perlite too to make it last longer without compacting... they don't like transplanting too much.
Anyway, so I found a bright spot where it gets no direct light but its pretty well shielded.... currently a bunch of tiny little leaves are budding, and I'm pretty sure its all gonna be fine in the long run.
In fact it seems to be growing more vigorously than the twin cutting that didn't loose it leaves.
