Hi I wanted to know if Ph levels are particular to strain....I am in love with heavy sativa crosses in particular Skunk#1. I would like to know what is a safe PH level for my hydro system... I was looking at a film w/green house arjan haze and they kept the PH at 5.6. What level would you guys suggest for most Skunk crosses?

I'm pretty sure that Ph is more medium specific than strain specific. The 5.6 number is for hydponic systems. I'm not a soil grower, but I believe that optimal Soil Ph is somewhat higher.

I am referring to hydro.... but so many ppl i see often say any where from 6-6.8 but greehouse seeds uses 5.6 and he is a pro lol so I wonder whats behind this. Ph level ensures the plants ability to absorb nutes right? and could it be possible that his water type in amsterdam can be part of the cause?

yeah finally i think i have the beginnings of a plant, had a peep under the rock wool and seen a 10mm tap root 3 days ago and again today i seen the beginnings of my plant emerging from the top of the seed........ "i know i should'nt peep but i was overwhelmed with temptation" :-? I have been watering with bottled water, one lid full per day and i have 4 other seeds in wet paper towel and out of that 2 of those look promising.. just going to continue with this method of care as it seems to be working ..
