Safe Light Color

What is the best colored light to use when you need to work in the plant room during lights off time?
Want a color that will not interfere with the photo-period.

By the way I am running the new 12-11-1 light schedule....

I've heard the same and saw this in another thread here a couple days ago. do the green "party lights" work or does it need to be actually green spectrum?

The 1 hour during the lights off period is enough to keep the plant in a vegetative state,
The flowering light periods resemble the sun periods as summer goes to winter - shorter and shorter daylight.
I found this information of Facebook and those trying it are getting great results. Try it, what could it hurt????

And thanks for the answers. I'm gonna get some green LEDs and wire them up in the tent.

check out mpja.com for surplus electronics.

I can see you will save energy costs, but i do not see how you increase production. More light, more energy, more yield. also noticed that the pics are from different grow cuz ones in soil and the other is in hydro?

I just pulled those pics off the net for illustrative purposes. They have nothing to do with the actual lighting schedule. The facts and figures given are from the original author and I am just passing it along FYI. I can't argue the point at the moment. Let that be another thread......

(I'm just starting my first grow, so this will be an experiment.)

Ok for sure good luck. Green light works because plants reflect it and do not absorb it for energy.

I'm telling you this idea(the flowering part) will not make more bud. The vegetative stage is not a bad idea though. You need energy input to get something out of it tho. the more light, more bud. you are definitely saving energy
If you do 13-11 it gives you more weight to the bud and if you do less (11-13) you lose the weight for resin production. so a lot of growers will do 11/13 to induce flowering, then 13/11 to get bud production, and then 11/13 again to finish off all that bud with resin. Sorry to bust your chops there is a lot of BS stuff that goes around on the net and this is one of them.
