So as everybody in this section knows cali has been getting hit hard by the feds and scared into closing, and or being raided by the DEA.....

Does anybody know what dispensaries in the Sacramento area are still open? I had my rec for 1 1/2 months before this all started and every dispensary i signed up with has closed or been raided. Im having trouble finding any, because the majority seem to have taken themselves off of weedmaps, and a lot of the ones that are still listed have comments claiming theyre actually closed down....any help? :wall:

Magnolia Wellness is still up and running. They had thought today (45th day after the federal notice) was gonna be their last day, but now say it's not. I'm not sure if they are actively fighting in court or what, but they are saying they'll be open as long as they can....so basically taking things on a day by day basis. Of course there is county pressure on them as well.

They've formed an alliance with River City Phoenix in the city. Phoenix will (or already are) use some of their employees, so if/when Mags shuts down they'll have a job long as Phoenix stays open. Looks like they may be sharing inventory too

Last time I drove by Green Solutions (Wednesday, I think), their sign said OPEN, another with 'No Masks' for Halloween. Guess it was Monday, then :P

Here's a good start on what's going down in Sactown.

As best I understand the recent rash of shutdowns, many if not most were operating illegally to begin with, having defied the moratorium the city had placed all the way back in '09 preventing new MMJ clubs from opening storefronts. This means that, for example, if someone had added a wall when building out their club, the would have needed to do that without the proper permits, and thus, would also be violating the city's building codes. If I understand correctly, this is the cause of several shutdowns.

But I'm just a guy in the area who now can't rely on his favorite club for a reliable supply of effective medicine, so I could be wrong.

Hmm, interesting....I thought Magnolia shut down recently....Ill look into it

Patient to patient trading is the wave of the future.
I down with that, but im mainly interested in clones over actual flowers....I would rather grow my own and want to get some cuts of cali clone only strains that i cant get via seed.

green solutions was actually the first club i signed up at after getting my rec....the flowers i got sucked balls though not gunna lie. Im a pretty lightweight smoker, and the kandy kush I got from them couldnt even get me medicated, and the 1/8th of green crack i got was a bag full of buds the size of BB's.....that kept me from going back =/ they did have some nice headband clones but the variety was very very limited

my favorite club to date was alternative medical source in fair oaks, but i think theyre shut down now....nicest club ive been too once youre inside and also had the biggest selection of super healthy clones ive ever seen.....plus had clones in soil, coco, and cubes....never seen a selection like that

Is that the place with the tiny parking lot on Fair Oaks Blvd just up a ways from Sunrise?

I patronized Green Solutions quite regularly in days gone by and while there were a few letdowns, I found them to be one of the better clubs in Sac. They were the only local place with Juicy/Candy Jack for a good while and usually have a good selection of Subcool gear in both flower and seed form. Clone selection is awful but typically equaled out by the selection of cute little ladies tending the buds, if you're into that sort of thing. They seem to put money into little niceties like that and jars, along with their draconian reassuring check-in process.

One of my favorite spots for quantity deals was River city Wellness on Northgate and sadly they are also shut down. They still have the big sign you can see from the freeway but dont bother exiting. I moved to the bay for a couple months and 3 of the 4 sac clubs I regularly frequented are closed! River City, Medizen and Auburn wellness. Time to get some motivated to grow my own meds.

River City Phoenix on West El Camino (few blocks off Cap City Freeway) apparently merged with Magnolia, a backup if the County shuts down mags since it's in the city. They are using some of Mags employees there as well. Nice place but really small compared to Magnolia. Too small (IMO) to handle the number of patients Mags has
