Greetings everyone, figured it would be a great idea to make a thread about S1 seeds. Keeping details, grows, pictures and smoke reports would be very hopefully.

I'll be growing some S1 seeds here shortly myself. Archive Seeds Wedding cake S1 and Da Skreets Freeworld Chem S1. I'll be grabbing some more here soon.

Please feel free to share your experiences with your S1 seeds/breeders. Let's make this a amazing thread. Happy growing all. 20210324_181836.jpg

I've got CSI Mendopurps S1 along w/a bunch of otherS1's from a breeder who I don't bring up here, ran Phenofinders Chemhead last summer, not bad, had a WCake freebie like you posted from Tude never popped it, CVenture I almost pulled trigger on Raspberry Pebbles from Tude once but I dicked around a little bit and it went out of stock.ccguns

Never ran any S1s but Nspecta's gear has always piqued my interest. I've kind of avoided them because I remember him saying that about 50% have recessive traits in his Potcast interview.
I pulled up the episode and they start talking about it at 21:35...
He says that there's some strong, good quality plants but he almost looks like a pure S1 as almost a throwaway and that feminzed hybrids work better as an outcross.
I've seen awesome pics of his S1s and heard great stuff as well so do you just need to run through more seeds to find a good keeper?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to get some CSI S1's also.

Yeah heard great things about both. The King Louis is a new cut so figured I'd grab it while I could. Trying to also grab In house seeds Dolato S1 next.

As far as a solid S1 you should only have to hunt through a pack of 5 to find a good keeper. If you want a amazing keeper prolly 2 packs.

For those two I would check out cannaventure. The ghost was cool and I ran his luck louis cross and just got his "pure"(what he call s1) louis. Personally that King lou cut is one of my all time favorites

I have a purple strawberry bliss s1 freebie from Pheno Finders flowering right now, it had a humble start, but now it's my favorite plant in there-40 days into flower, swelling up nicely and turning a lovely shade of purple, with some funky terps developing. A lot of people here have grown their stuff because of all the Attitude freebies, and I see some who've had issues with hermies or whatnot, but I've seen some pretty decent plants too-it was definitely worth growing out anyway.

Yeah I hear that Rurumo. That's why I was wanting to pop my Wedding cake myself to check to see if she herms or not. I run a pretty tight ship so we'll see. Glad to hear your Strawberry is turning out good so far. Would def like to see the out come man. Happy growing.

I was looking at the carpet thinking, see that doesn't look nice, looked at my blunt looked at the picture and noticed oh it's a seed.

I swear, I think I have at least one seed each of 90% of the Pheno Finder catalogue. I actually smoked the Purple Strawberry Bliss and Lemon Bubble in Amsterdam in 2015. Back then Pheno Finder was somehow connected to Coffeshop Voyager-the smoke was excellent, nicely cured. It was a really fun trip, I met up with some Dutch dudes I met decades ago in college. I was pretty excited to get those strains as freebies, but then I start hearing all this stuff about hermies, and a grow I had been following of a Pheno Finder Rainbow Cake earlier this year went hermie too. I've got three of their strains going right now in my "test run" before I hatch some keeper seeds, so far so good, no hermies, very nice frost development on 2 of them at day 40 flower, and extremely pervasive dank aroma. I open my front door and it's like a giant skunk ate too much overripe fruit and just had a party in my house. Strong smell is always a good sign in my book.

Yeah I haven't heard much about hermie reports but on Rollitup. Nice cus I have Rainbow Cake as well which I'm about to run under a Hlg 600.

Glad to hear they have some nice smoke man. Which three do you have in flower atm? Happy growing.

just ran an entire pack of apple fritter s1's, solid enough all round with good structure but nothing really stood out. no keepers unfortunately.

also a pack of csg's silver nevil s1's that were slow to veg with almost no stretch, one was a lovely strong haze ive kept, but im going to have to outcross it i think as i can't grow it alongside my other stuff.

ive read that s1's genetically are something similar to f2's.

I loved that interview and what he noted about S1's is what Ive personally seen as well. Ive just ran a few packs now and I think they are wonderful for cloning but poor for smoke runs. 50% of the plants usually are garbage/problematic and I would just assume every S1 pack has a herm or two but that part of the genetics that line up correctly can be pretty special and kinda unique with the potential of dogpiling recessive traits in some phenos. I like to run a lot of seeds though and its just a hobby so really the fem hybrids make a lot more sense for me to run again & again and S1's are more like a special project.
