Rusty red brown spots on top leaves

Hi,

I'm growing indoors under CFL, in soil, I had MG issues during the late veg state, which cleared up, am adding one tbs of Epsom salts per litre with my normal grow neuts, ph of water is 7-7.2 with runoff in the 5-5.5 run off

I'm 7 weeks into flowering

The leaves are slowly getting red/brown spots, almost like rust, on top leaves, with some lower large leaves curling and and crispy

I've trimed off some small fan leaves in the hopes of stopping the rust from spreading, which hasnt seemed to make any diff

Any advise would be appreciated

if your 7 week 12/12 im guessing your mid flush? IMO dont trip, just grow through it, and continue to flush

EDIT:also, i dont think its a good idea to cut leaves off a plant until the problem is solved, all your doing is making the deficiency got to the next leaf faster...

Thanks all for the advise. i'm just switching to flush now as growth has been alittle slow, alittle delayed, hopefully that'll perk up the plants

It's prob cause by 7 weeks of fertilizer and the soil is locking out others due to too much P & K. Ph 6.5 will release stored Mg plus others.

Too late to fix so just as well you are flushing now.

I cant see any mites, i did have fungus gnats bought in with the potting soil, but some chilly and garlic spray on the soil seems to have cured that

Should i harvest early before the wilting rusty redness spreads up the leaves to the buds ?

Spotting on leaves, whether rust, yellow or brown, usually indicate a nutrition deficiency. This is most likely from age or nute release in the soil. Too much Magnesium (MG) in the soil, or too little Magnanese (Mn) for the leaves. Could also be a Phosphorus deficiency...Phosphorus is necessary for photosynthesis and works as a catalyst for energy transfer within the plant. Phosphorus helps build strong roots and is vital for flower and seed production. Highest levels of phosphorus are used during germination, seedling growth and flowering. Deficiencies will show in older leaves first. Leaves turn deep green on a uniformly smaller, stunted plant. Leaves show brown or purple spots.

looks like you got some time b4 that happens, just run like 2 gallons of water through em, and let em dry out, and only use water from now on if you plan on harvesting at 9-10 weeks...
