ruined buds ?

Hey so ive made a drying box with rubbermaid tub and small fan
and a shit ton of tape... will this destroy my harvest ? The tape I mean it kinda smells funny but ive no other option.. it must be contained ! Pls quickly im two mins from hanging pls pls

I can not answer your question directly but I have dried buds that have picked up aromas from the environment they were dried in. So if your tape is giving off significant odor there could be a chance of it getting into your buds. Hope that helped some. GL.

I would use cardboard

Yeah small harvest. First grow kinda testing the waters just 1 plant three tops
I didnt think cardboard would contain the smell lol does it ? Just decided to try it as ive no other options.. the tape smells but should go away soon as it was new and also its only around the edges of the tub and the rim of the lid
I figure since there'll be plenty of fresh air flowing it could be fine... we'll see I suppose. Just did 1 so I could learn what not to do lol
the exaust tube I made from three baby formula cans taped flushed with ona gel in the end.. bout 2.5 feet away from the fan
did alot of looking about ona and drying buds getting ruined but found conflicting info
the people who've said it didnt ruin it believe that its ruined for some due to carelessness or getting it directly onto the drying buds
but since it's a learning experience I'll know for sure lol

Unnecessary Really, who cares about a little smell id be more worried about the herb coming out right after all the work involved..dry it in your closet on a shelf or something

30 actually but thx for the constructive criticism. Desperation bring out the littlegirl inside which is creepy as fuck since im a manboy.b
and kermit it must be nice to not have to worry about such things but with a wife and 1yr old living with me i cant afford to have ANY smell. As well as this creepy old man who sits in silence in the apt right above us and follows us around the apt cuz he thinks im smoking down here. Nonsmoking apt so meh
hes got nothing better to do than to complain to who ever will listen. So to sum it up its quite necessary after all and this old fuck above me cares and every slackjawed asshole who enters his apt... nurses and all of his dickmilk drinking relatives

It is and we do...and there is a lot of useless advice here...and there's a lot of good advice...just have to weed it out like a garden...we're all learning till the day we die...anyway, do it like your growroom, air intake fan, exhaust fan blowing through a carbon filter...a cardboard box is fine...I use my walk-in closet, but it has a passive intake fan and a carbon exhaust...and don't just rely on what people say, go to google, that's where I get my answers...

Your a Dick dude...it isn't useless advice I don't waste My time trying to help people for nothing.. I may not have explained it but I see a few possible mistakes down the road if you go this way and it is not the proper way..my suggestion to do it in a closet will cause you more smell than a card board box?? Ofcourse not the room its in is going to smell the same either way, you have one plant you puss put it in a closet where it had room to breathe and no contact with overly dry absorbent items such as cardboard, so with that have fun drying in a closed box full of tape, mold and karma await you

During my apartment days I constructed a smallish dryer out of a cardboard box. I used 2 computer fans and a home made carbon filter for exhaust. Worked great.

If I had it to do over again I would have never grown in my apartment. Paranoia was constant.

big fridge box with lines of string and clothes peg to attach buds, a small fan in the bottom , a fan heater is fine but on fan only! i done this in my garage, only 4 plants of harvest but bit smelly...i live in new zealand and in the country so no real issues.
try that mates.

Unessessary and who cares about smell... whos the dick ? Dont matter got it dried.. had it growing with ona and ruined it... smells fine but you can taste the ona when smoking.. took a bud out to try before curing so maybe curing will help I dunno.. an oz wasted maybe

Hey man I feel your pain I lost almost 2oz of bud last season due to rot.
And always having to sneak around just to grow some plants!

Tomorrow I have to put my plants in a shed because I have Family (in laws) coming over and it's going to be 43 deg.(110f).
I do have electricity so I'll have the fans running and have the pump in a fridge.
But still having to hide something I love sucks.
That old guy at your apartment sounds like the old guys at my work. Always complaining about shit!

If u look up u haul dry box i used that setup for a couple yrs and my buds nvr smelled weird they always came out fire.
