Rudy Raided - Ruh Roh

Who would have believed the shit he’s gotten away with so far?

Anything is possible with that cocksucker.
Donald ran out of possibilities and he knows it, Rudy just ran out of possibilities too and it's gonna be a binary choice for him. He better hope the feds buy what he wants to sell, Rudy is a lawyer, believe it or not, and he knows he's fucked and is lining up his ducks. He'd better not call Donald, cause I figure the FBI has both of them wire tapped at this point.

If they actually found anything at all it would make Rudy the greatest idiot to ever walk the planet. He's had TWO YEARS to get rid of the evidence. He has known they were investigating him since 2019.

He should have bonfired all of his electronics right then and there.

Old folks aren't that tech savvy
My bet he is caught with the goods between him and his long time assistant

Giuliani has had dozens of phone numbers over the last year alone. Unless they caught him holding the burners he uses, which would make him a patent idiot, then they will find nothing.

Destruction of evidence is a crime that carries stiff penalties, they had their case made before the FBI knocked on his door. Rudy is also kinda stunned and drunk much of the time.

The FBI searching his home means they have proven to a judge the"goods" and they are still there or the warrant wouldn't have been issued to an attorney
Contrary to a lot of the crap that has been on TV, it's not difficult for them to get a warrant. After all, Rudy was running around telling everybody he was trying to dig up dirt on Joe Biden in Ukraine on live television.

You show that to a judge and say, "we think he's so brazen that he will still have evidence of his dealings on his electronic devices" and boom. Instant warrant.

We shall see
My money says Rudy will be indicted
Accepting money from a foreign country to influence American Policy is truly a slippery slope

Again, not really. You're assuming that he was paid. He probably wasn't. If anything, it was Rudy by way of Trump paying for the information.

Either way, it's still a FARA violation and it's not slippery at all. It's black and white. If they find evidence he did it, he's going to prison. For how long is the only question.

We can hope, but I don't think so. Rudy is like Boris Johnson - he plays the fool when it suits him to do so. It leads people to think him a fool and underestimate him.
He held up his fucking phone on national TV showing incriminating evidence, where's that phone Rudy? We'd like to see the evidence, he better hope he didn't "dispose" of it. Rudy is a fool, perhaps he wasn't one before, but cancer therapy, old age and alcohol made him one. Rudy was always a psycho though with no moral compass, he used to be much better at hiding it though. Rudy is going down and it will happen quickly, as he throws Donald under the bus for a deal. It will be no different than Joel Greenberg and Matt Gaetz, Rudy will be offered Otisville instead of maximum security, since he was a ring leader of an insurrection with a large terrorist following.

If Rudy doesn't die from stress first, you'll see him on TV making PSAs about the big lie as part of his plea deal.

So ...
No pardon
Wasn't paid
I think we have reached idiot status and you still believe he is bright enough to cover his tech tracks?
I'm not there

So you think that Rudy set out on his own with his own ideas at nobody's direction? Seriously?

He followed orders. He did as he was told. If anybody was paid, it was the Ukrainians for giving up information. It's highly likely no money ever changed hands at all.

Again, this was about digging up dirt on the Biden family to influence an election. It's what the now ousted Ukrainians wanted, it's what Russia wanted, it's what Trump wanted.

None of it was ever about money. It was about keeping the presidency. And you don't get to where Rudy has gotten without having at least some brains.

That's why people have been so disappointed over the last 4 years: they've been screaming like you are now about how everybody is stupid, everybody is guilty, why isn't anybody being arrested?

The answer is because they're not nearly as stupid as you think they are. If they were, they would have never made it to where they are and we're not having this conversation.

If the said"conversation" occurred then Rudy will cut a deal
It is his only hope
But I will wait and see but "smart" isn't a term I use for the last administration

It's going to be a long list of things that get him. Multiple trips to Ukraine, meetings with multiple people, his own statements on TV, Radio and Social Media, and hopefully some actual hard correspondence on one or more of his electronic devices. If they get all that, yeah. He's going. I'm willing to bet they have about 3/4ths of it already. They're just hoping to find a smoking gun in his possession now to seal the deal.

But I will wait and see but "smart" isn't a term I use for the last administration
Let's see: They got away with more illegal dealings than any administration in history. They changed the value system of an entire political party and continue to do so to this day. They survived not one but two impeachment proceedings. They attempted a coup of the United States of America.

And they got away with it all.

And you think they're stupid?

Hmmmm...

Yes they are stupid and were in the thrall of a sociopathic moron with an IQ of 78, Donald got many people to break the law for him. He has a talent for low cunning and bullying, but no operational intelligence whatsoever and spent his life trying to hide the fact that he's an idiot and compensate for it with bullshit.

As Mitch himself said on the floor of congress, they got away with nothing, one of the rare times he spoke the truth in public. Merrick Garland will not make a mockery of the rule of law and there are thousands of DOJ alumni & personnel who want justice done. These clowns desecrated the temple of justice and shit on the altar in public, that's the way many people in the legal community who revere the DOJ look at it.

These assholes were sloppy amateurs working for a sociopathic lunatic who was also a moron. If the NY times and Washington post can fucking near prove their crimes on the pages of their newspapers, with their limited power and resources, the feds can do much better before a jury. Once Rudy's lawyer sees the evidence and indictments, it will be let's make a deal ASAP. Putting a ribbon on the case against Trump for insurrection and handing his head to Uncle Sam on a silver platter for it, is the only thing that can save Rudy from hard time. He will have to make PSA's confessing the big lie as part of his plea deal too, unless he dies first or strokes out and that is a distinct possibility. Part of most plea deals is mitigating the crimes and damage to the victim if possible and the victim was American democracy.
