RU Gurus ASSEMBLE! I need your advice.

I've been playing around with DWC systems but that's gotten way too hard to maintain for a SOG set up... I was thinking of alternating to soil is there anything i should be aware of before i move forward?

I have 3 seeds that need to be transplanted. I have some MG soil, i was planning on getting some cups and making that happen. As for Nutes, i can just use the same ones diluted in water, to water the plants once per day?

Also, somewhere i read for the SOG method you need to prune the bottom 1/3rd of the plants. What's the best time/way to do this?

On another note, recently i've found a couple of seeds off of medclub weed one is diablo og the other is platinum og and one is a random bag seed i found on my desk. I've never worked with non feminised seeds, what's the best way to grow them to find out the sex and optimize yield?

MG soil isn't the best for MJ. Best soils are fox farm brand, Roots Organic, Etc. Find them at hydroponic stores. MG would be my last choice not my first. If you do use mg soil I would not add any nutes for 3 months at least.

Hmm. thanks for the advice. We just happened to have MG laying around in the garage. and this is an indoor grow not an outdoor grow how in the world would the MG soil not need nutes for 3 months?

you will enjoy growing in soil much better than DWC. its so much less headache.

MG contains fertilizers and other "time released chemicals" that how it can feed for 3 months. I use Fox farm OF and only add a little perlite to it.

some mg soils are so heavy with fertz and nutes they can kill your babies... burn the roots, cause salt lock. the only mg products i use are mg organic soil and mg organic bloodmeal. the mg organic soil is always full of flies though im finding good for the plants it seems, they always thrive but not so good for my closet setups. now the mg organic bloodmeal is the shit... only nitrogen fert ive ever used that didnt burn the plants.. and i TRIED to burn one just to see what would happen.. dumped damn near 1 cup into the top layer in a 12" pot. damn plant grew 4 inches in 48 hours

i agree with mg being infested with bugs too. i fought gnats for half a grow bc of shitty contaminated mg soil. last time i used it.
