Hey is there any alternative to using 3 inch rockwool cubes in my roto?. I usually go from my aero cloners to 1 inch rockwools then plug em into my 3 inchers. But im thinking of using 3 inch net pots with coco coir and net pot lids. Would this work? I just hate rockwool cuz it faked my skin up when handling it on my last roto grow. Any help would be sweet. Give it a shot, big risk though if it somehow screws up your whole run and watering interval may need to be adjusted.
If it holds too much water and then drips on the way around you are screwed, you'll loose the whole crop to mold.
240 site roto, sweet... Big balls running that many plants.

u biw riockwell makes micro cubes they r round and not square.....might be smaller than the cudes but check em out....actually i think they r called macro plugs sorry lol......i clone with them....lil messed up atm....

I think ill run 50 plants under this method for like 2 weeks of flower and see how it works. You got me thinking thou. I never used coco coir and it might retain 2 much water like u said. So I will vary the densities of the coco coir per 10 net pots and see which has the best results. I will also throw in 10 rockwools to gauge the results vs my coco. Thanks Oregon for the input. Well if you aren't running all the sites anyway you maybe could do half coco, half rockwool, with them alternating sites and if it turns out the coco ones fail in some way you yank them and end up with the same spacing you wanted in the first place. If the roto lets you remove the cubes in some way that is. I'm not familiar with exactly how they lock in on that particular model or if they slide in or what.

Two weeks is a lot of time to waste if you're into it enough to have that machine.

Well I currently have a 120 plant setup going right now with purple kush. I have done a full 240 grow in the roto on two occasions. The roto is at a friends house so I am actually doing this as a quick experiment. I could just pack it with 240 rockwool cubes but I keep having some kind of skin reaction to when using them. And you have to slide the plants in before you mount the rack. So once they are in they are in. I think i'll just do rockwool one last time and ill throw in acouple net pots with coco and see how it works out. Today I will take my clippings and i'll post pics as soon as I throw em in. I'll also update my pk grow in a few days so peep it out if you can. []Deace!

hey pup i dont mean to bee a goof.....but if u have done 2 grows with this before why not do another.....i have never seeb anyone with one of those systemd they cost like 6 grand but in my opinion if u did 2 frows wouldnt u have broken oyt before with the rockwell, and anyone in thier right mond would put on rubber gloves or sleeves to protect themselves....

also if u use a net cup wouldnt the medium fall out as it rotates.....i dont know of they have conded=nsed coco maybee im wrong not saying im right....but to spend that amount of money on a systemm and have to ask someones opinion about what medium to use or to say u get rashes from the medium u r useing and to say it over your freinds house seems a lil woerd to me...


either its not yours cause i wouldnt spend that amount of loot on a system and leave it somewere or i think we got a popo in da houuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse.......

my opinion peeps gl with that rash pup....

You'll starve before you'll find too many people that even know what a roto-grow is let alone a cop knowing about it, or a cop coming up with the idea to use coco in net cups with lids are you serious that's clearly stoner thinking so is doing more than one cycle without long rubber gloves only a stoner would...

Haha comments like that would lead me to believe you are a goof! Man o man some people. And what are you a cop? Like seriously how stupid are you. I am wanting to use net pots with coco and lids. "Lids" incase you didnt read my thread. Which I don't think you have completely. And yea I spend countless hours on this site helping out newb growers like yourself. Sorry im not a fucking dermatologist. Man you are a douche and a half. Not trying to be a "goof" just saying. And thanks OregonMeds for using common sense and not thinking I am a pig. And if I was what the hell would I be doing making a thread asking ppl about "my grow". If I was a pig wouldn't I wanna know about "your grow". Anyways I have no Idea why I am explaining myself. But besides all that thanks for the help guys (including you oregon). And I will post pics of my grow for all of you non believers. Man that sure pisses me off thou. []Deace!
