Rot

yeah the fun of this time of year outside, you got to get out there and shake those girls after a rain or morning dew or mold will start on the areas that get less light.

Just pick the moldy bud off and save it in the hash pile and try to keep ahead of it until you are ready to harvest.

Yeah, it's one of the hardest things to put up with. I really hate to throw away bud, but it's part of growing. Especially outdoors.

Fungus is everywhere, and it especially likes juicy buds.

It's a battle alright..
there are products out there that help lessen botrytis but I don't think there is anyway to eradicate the problem..
some strains do better then others..pure sativas hold up very well whereas the large hard nugs of indica/sativa crosses get mold even without rain because of so much moisture retained in the center of the bud..
but you figure even if you loose 25% to mold outdoors youre still ahead of the game in yield compared to what that same plant would do indoors..
I sprayed my plants this year with soilsoup once a week in flower and it was the first time in 5 years I didn't get any powdery mildew and I had very little bud rot..believe when I say I have tried everything..
I think the wedsite is Amazing - compost tea - for organic gardening and farming
best of luck
