Roots

my hydroponic system has the pots sit in the nutrients
if there is a 1" space from the bottom of the pot to the bottom of the resuvuar, will the roots keep growing the same as if they were 10" above from the bottom of the resuvuar?
or does it not matter if there is a space inbetween the pot and the resuvuar.
Will they keep growing 100% normally aslong as they are getting what they need?

Thanks

yes they will spider across the bottom of the resevoir sideways, so as long as your resevoir is wide and long enough for the amount of plants your growing you shoul dbe just fine

ON the other hand, you want enough vertical room for the roots to relax. And I assume you are using a DWC? IN which you need enough space for the oxygenated bubbles to hit the roots. I would prepare at least 4-6 inches of space.
