Roots Organics Soil Question

I dont use it, but Ive read its about as hot as Fox Farms Ocean forest, and that'll usually go for a month before needing additional nutes.

If you're using it for seedlings, Id cut it just in case its too hot for them.

I planted some Blue Ryder in it about 2 weeks ago. The guy at the hydro store said it would last at least 3 weeks (which would be when Blue Ryder should start to flower). But I was hoping to get a better answer because he didn't seem too sure how long it would last before I need to start using nutrients.

For what its worth, he also said it wasn't as hot as Ocean Forest which is why I got it. I'm using the same containers for the whole grow so I needed something I could plant in.

Thanks for your input.

should last about 3-4 weeks, however b careful if using on fresh cuttings may burn watch closely,
I had my fair share of the dreaded soil, since have moved on to Hydro/Aero now life is so much simpler

I usually start just before flowering. I usually transplant into 5 gallons, give one or two waterings, then one or two with veg nutes and then flip them and start in with the flowering nutes.

No way. Roots organics isnt near as hot. Oh wait unless your talking about their prefertilized potting soil, then yes it is. I was thinking of formula 707 which is ph balanced and ready to add fertilizers. I used to love form 707 until I had fungus issues and I found out its because 707 doesnt have enough drainage. So instead of mixing it with perlite, I just switched to Sunshine Mix #4 and have been using it happily ever since

I was talking about the potting soil and it can be very hot. I add 25% perlite as well for better drainage. I feed a gallon every other day and they eat it up.
