Roots & Light Leaks

Hi guys,
I just wanted to know the deal with roots & light... I'm sprouting seeds in a bubbler but there are holes which aren't filled with rockwool cubes and therefore light is going straight through to the resevoir where the roots of the sprouts are sitting.. The seeds have sprouted and all have nice little sets of leaves coming through already..

good? bad? no difference? I read somewhere that roots don't like light... this is probably pretty basic knowledge to most people, I just need some confirmation cause its definately not pitch black in the resevoir.

thanks!

Exactly correct, roots should be in the dark, and you don't want light shining on your res either. Cover the holes with some black plastic.

Interestingly, direct light kills roots, but makes bad stuff grow. :blsmoke:

....time to change the solution me thinks!
