Ok so i'm new to this aeroponics thing but I want to give it a whirl. So I was wondering what do you do when your roots start to sit in the resevoir? Is it ok for them to sit in the nutes or do you have to do something to them?

When roots reach solution it becomes a DWC + Aero, might be good idea to circulate/bubble your res but should be fine given enough airspace between planter and nutes... it'll provide you a little buffer if the aero sprayer/fogger malfunctions.

ok so a 4 plant system in a 20 gal resv spaced out with two air stone in it... that will be ok? That the setup I have now. It also allows me to have more sprayers per plant... I'm looking to grow 3' plant maybe 4' is that attainable in 20 gal tote?

Its fine for them to be in the slution. Your heights are way off though. In a small 20 gallon res your gonna wanna flower the plants at about 10 inches max and finish around 2 feet. Lollipop each plant and even consider topping for better results. Check my posts I grow almost all aero and have posted many how to build and use aero setup. Keep water at 65-68 degrees ph at 5.5-5.8 max adding air stone is good

Well I was hoping for 4 plants and toping them and training each plant into a square to cover the 4x4 area. I did it would two big plants in soil so I figure 4 I should be able to do the same...
